What were you delivering? Several cases of beer to a bunch of guys for their annual “get-together” up north?
I’m thinking whiskey Something to prevent their blood from freezing!
That was awesome!
Makes me want to try AH.
Maybe someone needs to make the Whiskey Hauler Expansion?
Have they managed to fix the CTD issues with the F-35, or at least limit it? Really whats keeping me from pulling the trigger on it.
I think we are getting closer to the cause, but we are not there yet. Yesterday I managed to fly for over an hour in the F35B before it finally hit a CTD. This was after trying another community suggested workaround that involves flying the T45 first (you just have to spawn on the runway), and then exiting to set up your F35 flight. Why that would help I am not sure, but it seems to be beneficial.
IndiaFoxtEcho posted the following on their FB page earlier today:
CLOSE TO DESKTOP ISSUES
Let’s start with the elephant in the room, that is CTDs.
Unfortunately, after the initial claim by Microsoft that they were able to replicate CTDs on the F-35, their investigation did not lead to much. The latest report we have received from them (on F-35 build 1.0.1) is that “it is a very solid build […] with no CTDs”.
This is CLEARLY NOT THE CASE in reality - as way too many users are reporting problems with this plane. And frankly we do not believe it is acceptable that a user has to fiddle with his/her configurations for hours in order to get it to work.
The latest news, by the way, is that there are users who get rid of the CTDs by flying the T-45C first.
On the other hand, there are many users, including Microsoft test team apparently, that have no problems at all with the package - which makes the issue even more puzzling.
We suspect that the problems lie on the HUD/HMD code, and are restructuring it, getting rid of a everything which is not scrictly necessary, We will also provide an alternate configuration which uses the F/A-18 HUD just in case.
So I think we are getting somewhere. At least they are fully acknowledging that there is a problem.
Thanks, glad to see they are working to chase it down. I may go ahead and pull the trigger on it knowing they are actively working to fix it.
What a great idea Paul. Are those peeps permanent residents, or do you have to place them? Thanks.
The spotters/photographers are a freeware addon.

I think they make a nice addition.
That’s outstanding, thanks.
A load of them spend their free time up the Welsh hills taking photos of the jets. Some have holidays up there for weeks at a time
“Hey honey, my mates and I are going hiking and camping this weekend. Back to nature and a vigorous workout hiking in the hills.”
“Heading to the Mach are you? What about that dripping faucet and do I need to remind you that the grass in back is not getting any shorter?”
“I’d think that you would be happy that I am getting some exercise! Isn’t that what you want”
“Is that why I saw you putting that massive cooler in the boot?”
“You wouldn’t want us to starve, would you?”
“I think you mean die from thirst. Don’t forget your camera love.”
“Now I know why I married you.”
it definitely seems like fun airplane irl
This guy lives near my mum but basically lives on the loop. A truly great channel to watch. His fairford videos are incredible.
I often watch them after an airshow and see more detail than in Real life.
Nice guy too
Great shots!
With live traffic turned on, it must be quite a show out there.
It seems to be busier if you connect to the Western Europe server… I saw a F15 disguised as a Bonanza fly past at great speed a few times. . I was hoping for some Hawks, F35’s etc, but the most active aircraft type was the MB339.
My Twotter Harbour Air skin turned up - amazing what people contribute. This stuff is getting photorealistic…
Hey y’all!
Today I tested the high altitude capabilities of the P-38 and man, I missed flying a fast prop fighter apparently!
I took off from my home airport EDSB and headed north, just to see how quickly I could make it to Cologne. VFR to Leverkusen (EDKL) to be precise.
As it turned out: Quickly!
I took a few nice screens on the way so here they are.
Aachen
Bonn
flying straight at FL350 in a prop plane, contrailing, doing 285 knots ground speed.
Descending in style
Cologne!
I think I might a a tad low. But probably it just looks that way, the cathedral is pretty tall.
Buzzing the field.
On final.
And landed. 50 minutes of flight.
My navigation was… a bit basic. Not very straight.
