Sadly the DG808 stopped working for me after sim update 5.
Not sure why but I immediately go into a spin after release of the tow rope.
Like something is off with the CG.
So I haven’t touched it in a while.
I am glad to have found this thread as flying soaring planes (in VR) is a dream for me.
My rig is ready, I am still in doubt if MSFS2020 is the right program to start flying (opposed to Condor 2, which also looks very promising).

small DG updated released lately but avionics fixes mostly. we are busy with payware stuff at the moment, but flight model fixes will be applied as well sooner or later.

Could you share some details of your upcoming project(s)?
Condor 2 is great in VR…but it is a pain to set up if you are not using an Oculus Rift or Rift S. The developers have said they will eventually move to OpenXR which will be great, but they have said it isn’t a priority for them. They see VR is a niche corner of their customer base and therefore not hugely important. Pity really…. I stopped using it after I upgraded to a Reverb G2 from the Rift S.

Jetpack project was evaluation of MSFS capabilities and demand for flying human, but sadly it did not get much attention - wingsuit and hang glider we kept in mind will not be our next projects, not now at least. We have a rotorcraft with custom flight model on very early stage of development (better say experimental), also kinetic assistant has huge list of tasks to do - hope my skills will be enough to finish it soon.

Heads-up for the glider guys among us:
There are new versions of both the Kinetic Assistant tool and the DG808, and I almost can fly it again. Something is still weird. It is very easy to get into a unrecoverable spin it seems.
@thealx it seems that as soon as I start without “fuel” or the “engine” is off I have no lift at all, I drop like a stone. What could I be doing wrong?
Hold on! Improved flight model on the way, tomorrow. I’ll let you know.

Improved flight model, minor avionics and controls fixes. Don’t forget to get latest KineticAssistant - winching and towing process greatly improved.

How’s the flight model and thermal modeling in MSFS soarplanes now? I was impressed with Condor 2 but the graphics and locations were limited.
The community maps for Condor 2 gives you a huge selection of places to fly although the Alps map (ArcAlpine2?) is my favorite.
The only thing stopping me from flying Condor 2 right now is the VR support. They adopted VR when Oculus was king, but to get WMR and SteamVR headsets working you have to jump through too many hoops.
Thermals available as a “weather cheat” - set high air temperature (like 40-60 Celsius) and huge bottom clouds layer, then you will have lift under the clouds. You can find weather preset in one of our races RACE-THERMAL-160-EPKO - ALBATROSS Racing Club

I looked into the terrains but the installation process was more troublesome than getting WMR.
