Added a photo of the target area to the OP (top).
OK so 20:00 GMT is (with the calendar icon thingy for local time)

That was exhilarating! This is the most immersive milsim experience I have ever had.
It felt a bit like a Baltic Dragon campaign, but so much better: with real people! I mean that all the planes from various packages contribute to the mission goal with various engagements and you are constantly thinking about deconfliction, threat picture, while doing comms on different channels and flying the jet. Really, really awesome!
We noticed we were about even with the Strike Eagles so we afterburned some to get ahead and not bomb each other. In the meantime we climbed to 26k and later dropped to the deck to avoid what sounded like a “kill box” full of Migs between 10k and 15k.
The roles during the strike were clear: I missed by half a km but drew AAA fire very well, while @Torc actually hit a lot of targets (he was all over the kill feed and got 60 points on the DCS scoreboard)
On the way back, he checked that my gearbox looked OK. Which helped with landing. We did a nice pattern with break in a mixed formation with @WarPig in the Hornet and despite a hydr 2 failure, no flaps and no wheel brakes (thank Marcel for the chute!) on my plane, it went quite smoothly and we were safe on the ground at Incirlik with about 500 kg of fuel left. “poids normal” according to the French manual. (The fuel, not the missing flaps)
Thank you for building this mission @chipwich and thanks for having me as flight lead @Torc , and for taking most of the comms load. I loved flying with you (from the other side of the globe!).
@Derbysieger and @Freak having an intimate moment before we ran into a bunch of 60s era migs that promptly shot me out of the sky (I was agressive prosecuting targets with about as much SA as a drunk with blinkers on) after I tried to BFM the thing in a bomb laden beagle. Yeah.
Of course I was in time to hop in a fresh beagle to fly on the 2nd run in Derby and @miRage did, and dropped a stick of snakes right down the length of the runway. No MiG’s spotted alas. Would have loved to get mine back after that humiliation!
Thanks @chipwich for hosting and organising. Doing a mission like this is fun. I felt fumbling and rusty, but not completely useless.

Heading back out to target in a mixed three ship. I got fragged by my own bombs (flying the F1), Chipwich (F-15E) had a headset battery die after a successful strike, and Warpig (Hornet) made it home safely after a successful strike.

A successful mission!
Thank you for building this mission @chipwich and thanks for having me as flight lead @Torc , and for taking most of the comms load. I loved flying with you (from the other side of the globe!).
Thanks Freak! It was great flying with you
And most importantly thanks to Chipwich for hosting the event. It was great fun!
No problem guys. I’m sure that I had as much fun as you did. Probably more.
I only feel sorry that we couldn’t get @Johnny in.
That was awesome, thanks for hosting. Really fun, enjoyed the atmosphere and flying, it was a good time! Look forward to flying with y’all again soon.
thats me in that F5 escorting WarPig …
… and yes, thats you dropping the snakeye’s
Sorry Nevo. Of course. Corrected.
That @WarPig is a smooth operator. Drives right up and plugs in with nary a hesitation. He knows what he needs and is not shy about taking it
Thanks for the awesome screenshots!
I’m just glad no one got screens of me spawning into the hot jet the first time, forgetting to sync my controls and immediately rocketing across the ramp in full a/b to give that light post a hug in my bug.
You guys are all excellent sticks, I’d fly with y’all anytime.
@chipwich seeing all those snakeyes come at once has re-motivated me to learn the mud eagle.
