@Rhinosaurus Have you tried Przemasowo map yet? I think you might like this one. The farm is bare and there’s room in the initial field to expand out. The land prices are generally reasonable too. The field are rolling, but mostly rectangular.
Elmer’s cutter added from modhub.
Imma take a look at that map tonight.
Definite candidate.
I’m not sure how that train thing works. Never explored that part.
Ok, so for future reference… Semi trucks tend to have the annoying habit of not having the hitch configurations to do what we want.
We’ve got the Agro-liner mod installed already, and unfortunately it won’t pull the fifth wheel dolly to allow pulling a semi trailer (a number of which would be handy for us).
But I found on the mod hub a Fliegl dolly which the Agro-liner does fit. And it works with the in-game semi trailers too. Handling is pretty sweet forwards (thanks to the extra articulation), but reversing is likely impossible.
A pic of the full set (which carries like 70+k liters):
And the real reason we’ve got to buy it:
Last night I looked at Przemasowo, looks ok. Reminds me of the default maps in a lot of ways.
Also tested Lone Oak 19. Best map I’ve ever seen in this game hands down. Sense of scale, proportion, and detail are fantastic.
Is it 4x or regular sized fields? I can’t remember if I’ve tested that. Does it have rhino’s empty farm requirement?
I don’t recall if it lists a size. I seems larger, though. I can drive at 60+kph for ages staring out the side window as farms roll past.
EDIT: @saghen it’s a 2km x 2km map. Details here:

The main farm has some buildings. But there are plenty of flatter* fields that can be made into a yard.
*just a reminder that IIRC @Rhinosaurus said he’d never take my word again about flatness.
Just tested out the map. It’s pretty cool. A bit different than the Euro themed one we’ve been on. The initial farm area is interesting. I like the terrain on the northern west-east road, to the west of the shop. There is a relatively flat field for the HQ and the surrounding fields are mildly hilly.
@Rhinosaurus I left the Great Plains planter out by 17, after I finished 18. In case you wanted to play with that a bit.
Nope. Looks like it’s up right now?
Yes, just checked. Looks good. The 11/13 harvest is complete (sold for about $130k) and Oats are down on 19 and 20. Sunflowers on 17 and 18 will be are at their final growth now. All weeding and fertilizer are done.
I paid down 20k on the loan, and cash is about $390k.
Quick update…
11/13 is ready for cultivation and/or planting. It’s got slurry/manure set.
I bought the Corn/Sunflower header for the John Deere harvester, and a trailer. They are stored out at the west shed (near the Sunflower/Corn fields).
17 and 18 are harvested, with the 44,222 liters stored in the silo (market is trending down pretty badly). Should be a tidy $60k to $70k profit waiting there once the prices hit $1500+ again.
I should be back on the fields thursday night.
What are we shooting for next? Buying 12 and creating adding it 11/13?
Lot 12 costs $450k.
Ok, so lately @Rhinosaurus and I have discussed how to advance to higher capacity TMR production to support a larger herd.
I tested the Strautmann auto-collector TMR vehicle. It works OK. But it’s not a miracle over what we’ve got now, since we are so heavily committed to baling. It would need a silage bunker setup to make it shine.
What does make TMR production much faster, is making use of our existing hay barn. It will hold loose straw and hay. The only thing we need to get it there is a loading wagon.
If we get a loading wagon to store the loose straw and hay, from there our bailing is simply used for silage. That means adding a single silage bail to our existing TMR mixer, a stop at the barn for hay and straw (1:2 ratio), and we’re done.
This is worth considering for a few reasons:
- Less bale handling labor is always good.
- Bale storage is reduced by 66% over our current approach.
- Further time savings via speedy collection of hay and straw with a loading wagon, without the additional time of baling and collection steps.
We’ve got a straw harvest coming in the next session, so maybe a good time to consider such a change?
I could teach you how…I’ve driven similar setups in real life and if you saw the frankly frightening setup I have in fs17 you never worry about your pivot points again lol
Class dlc out soon! Likely going to move to lone oak farm around its release!
Why the need to get the dlc? Isn’t there a lot of class equipment already available in modhub/websites?
In true farming simulation, is my purchase of the dlc going to be subsided as I barely play it?
