I remember 15 years ago that a bunch of folks figured the Mosquito would never be flying again due to wood rot etc.; now I come across this…

With any luck I will be seeing that Mosquito come May 2020 at the Planes of Fame airshow. Rod Lewis always brings several aircraft to the airshow.

Jeff comes pretty close, or so I heard.

Jeff? Not too suprised considering Jeff, as I understand it, was built as a small cheap export fighter like the F-20 was. Which, other than its good looks, is what peaks interest in Jeff. Because with some generic skins, or some what if skins, it could make a great generic, modern green-for jet for countries that need a modern fighter in DCS.

Sorry… I assume jf17? Correct?

Yep, or that’s what I’m assuming @schurem is referring to. lol

yep, Jay-eff, jeff seventeen. It apparently lacks a NATO reporting name (a sure sign of the dark times we live in!) so reddit aptly named it jeff.

I believe the reason for this is because the Chinese military hasn’t adopted the JF-17 for service.

But what should a drone operator who gets his toy shot down over Niger report? (According to wikipedia Nigeria has ordered a squadron or two of Jeff’s)

Nice fine! Very interesting to listen to.

I would love to see/hear this from the perspective of the people in the vehicle…

F-35 launching off HMS Queen Elizabeth in Portsmouth - apparently it was being flown off after being stuck aboard for a maintenance problem…

That simultaneous 8 engine start by the B-52 :astonished: Makes the C-130J starting 3 engines simultaneous start look like child’s play…

The Japanese sure do know how to make some awesome flying content. You’ll recall they also did the superb F-4 Phantom slow motion filming…
