That’s quite a few sparks. I take it that engine wasn’t particularly happy.

Does anybody know what the glistening visible in the intake was?

I bet it was the water injection.

That was a really cool video. Wow!
I remember vaguely seeing a Viggen at Fairford airshow when I was a kid. I obviously didn’t know how smart the thing was back then as I’d really love to see one now

Spectacular machine. I got to see it last year at the Dutch air force open day.

Are they still flying over there?

I think theres a swedish outfit keeping one flying, along with a draken, that one was awesome as well. Perhaps regulations prohibit them from operating in the UK?

The rules regarding classic jets are basically…nothing complicated will get an airworthyness certificate. Anything with a radar, afterburners is out by default pretty much. It’s a shame.

Why did that silhouette [of the Viggen over the numbers in the video] remind me of my first homecoming date, if I squnt my eyes just right?

And, dang it, I’m starting to feel I need that thing in my hangar! Does an autographed calendar of the Swedish Bikini Team come with it? Who remembers those great beer commercials?
