Maybe it’ll be marketed as a weapons platform to 2nd World countries. The Hawk was also sold as a trainer / discount war machine I think?
Note: I have no idea what I’m talking about, just guessing.

Indeed! Maybe it’s what VTOL VR is to DCS.
I get what they were saying now. The 4G quote was a sustained load in a max thrust turn. Given its small engine and lack of afterburner, 4g is probably respectable. I am pretty sure that a light airliner or corporate type would come close—theoretically anyway, the design positive load limit is 2.5.
No fast hands in the cockpit, something that gets continuously beat into student pilots in the B-course/RAG. Still happens tho, you get some young guy hyped up on adrenaline trying to do his immediate action Items when the ENGINE FIRE light comes on in the cockpit, mistakes will happen.
Big fan of the F-15 communities lack of boldface, the thought process going into that is that the jet is reliable enough with triple hydraulic redundancy and two big powerful engines, that if something goes wrong you either have enough time to figure it out, or it will be blatantly obvious that you need to get out of the jet right now instead of troubleshooting it.
“No fast hands” I need to tell my boys that one. That along with “no raised voices” goes a long way to keeping your cool.
We’re all used to hearing about UAVs but this is about a USV. I’m starting to see a lot more with this type of vehicle in my reading threads.
Not NATO but from allies in the Pacific. Just some absolutely beautiful scenes with the Phantom. Best watched in 4K if you can.
Phwoar!! I would love to see that live. I pass Northolt most evenings. There is a global parked there and the queens flight and the global always makes me think @PaulRix has popped over to see us and have a cuppa with the queen
Now that’s some low flying
Fair play!!
Apparently a military jet went down in Alabama.

Sadly the crew didn’t survive.
Condolences.
That’s sad… Another T-38 accident.
It’s sad but understandable when accidents happen during training…
Yes, and with such a demanding aircraft.
I can’t help but thinking the accident rate during training will improve with the T-7.
I truly hope so…
Now that’s some low flying
Nah, he just got too high, they’re supposed to all go under the wires!
