Hi chaps,
Sorry about the long silence - was busy posting on our social accounts all these weeks, but did not play catch up here or on steam. We’ll do that a few days - until then I had to upload some of the videos we’ll be using. Hope you’ll find some interesting snippets in all these ![]()
Cheers
You guys are impossibly good…
Thanks Komemiute!
And here’s the meat:
Finally, the Spring dev update devlog on Steam for our game Task Force Admiral !
Please have a look, please share, please leave a like, & even a word to cheer us up if you can!![]()
Have a nice day, all of you😎

A little extra, showing the difference now that we have provided the Jake with a proper AI & means to more or less try to defend itself - even though an actual Jake would not last that long, obviously… ^^

Oh wow, it really does look absolutely stunning!
To the point that the skybox almost looks pre-rendered…
I have hard time noticing the gun’s tracers though, is there still work being done on them?
We’re experimenting with trails, but they weren’t much more visible than that IRL from what I could collect - we’re talking .50 cals here, these aren’t nothing like the flashy stuff you see on the German or Soviet side in Il-2 for instance. They are much more visible on a darker background (you’ll see them from very far when shooting against the water or the land).
Oh ok! I see.
Thanks!
Ah darn the twitter stuff doesn’t embed anymore… Let me try with direct links to videos posted on Discord. Ain’t the best, but it’s worth a shot.
(and the Val is a test bed Val, so don’t be sad if it doesn’t get torched at a moment notice, this will come soon enough ^^ All of this is work in progress of course)
Hi guys
A few other smaller updates for, hopefully, some measured enjoyment. A twitter embedding doesn’t seem to work anymore, hope you’ll find the strength to click on these to check them out ^^
First though, a small Youtube moment, using our embedded camera system & sepia filter just to showcase what can be done with a few clicks in game, with no editing besides putting the reels together.
As for tracers, indeed, they’ve been freshly implemented too, along with impact sounds & bullet whiiiiiz:
Our scenario selection / briefing screen / loading screen system is now operational. It allows for handy extensive editing of the briefing details using markdown & is provided w/ an embedded video player allowing MP4 to be played in order.

Although it’s purely about cosmetics (we ain’t going to add much in there at this point & aircraft still go through each other as we hide hangar activity behind the curtain) the inside view is still kinda cool, even at this limited level of detail, so here’s a look!
“All I wanted to do was to make something beautiful”.
Well, it all started with this one.
Or so is Jiro Horikoshi often quoted as saying - but then again, coming from Myazaki, there’s always a bit of a fable involved, who knows!
Anyway. The A5M in Task Force Admiral !
Lowpoly, even in 3D realism-oriented games, doesn’t necessarily mean low effort, or ugly results. Here’s Rizki’s optimized 3D work shining under Julien’s paintbrush in Task Force Admiral.
When you have a few dozens of these in a scene, you’re happy they aren’t eating away your frames!
There there. As always, thanks for following us ![]()
Cheers & have a fine Sunday!
Hi chaps
it’s been some time - we weren’t helped by Twitter not allowing embedding for some time, but it seems it has all gone back to normal (their name aside).
Here are some cookies, hope it was worth the waitin’
First, the YT content ~
And now the tweets, which don’t embed anymore unfortunately, but feel free to click on them, they should still work. Sorry for the extra sweat involved…

Man its been a while since we heard from these guys ![]()
Good news from these guys, demo coming pretty soon and a kickstarter for a ‘big box’ version of the game -
Hi guys!
Sorry had some credential issues for some time - the email doesn’t work so well with the automated system used by the board. But here I am.
Allow me to quote myself somewhat from another space that some of you know well:
As @speck mentioned (thank you!) we’re almost there — our demo is set to launch early next week on Steam, alongside our Kickstarter campaign. The goal of said kickstarter is to fund a physical edition of the game (we’re not penniless don’t worry, but some things are too hefty of a risk to be attempted without backing), complete with a detailed manual and some great extras. Don’t worry, there will be digital reward tiers as well, so you need not to want the actual big thing to find some use to this whole adventure.
More details over there:
Thanks to all of you who have been following us for some time, and see you next week for a hands-on experience ^^
Cheers
In the meantime here are a few extra screenshots ^^
Cheers & have a great weekend all!
How much will the physical edition be?
Like the nod to Heston, Tiger. ![]()
Can’t disclose just yet I am afraid - but don’t worry there’s enough of these for everybody and quite a few days to make a decision ^^
Hehe. A man of culture!
First preview of the demo build of Task Force Admiral published by Nuno over at Strategy & Wargaming. Our big thanks to him for this kind overview!
Videos will follow on launch day - until then check out your favorite specialized online outlets!
