Wow… that is some stunning art right there! Bravo!
More carriers = more fun
Nice looking fleet.
Wheels
incredible work, well done!
Thank you gentlemen, always a pleasure to come back here and read a few nice words - this is our fuel, keep them coming as long as you believe we deserve them
As a sneak peek of our upcoming devblog update, here are a few shots taken aboard the revamped 3D model of our USS Yorktown. Although it is not expected to be an interactive area, American carrier’s hangars having apertures everywhere, we needed to make sure she’d still look fine inside & outside.
Yorktown was our very first 3D model, and she needed a good refit to be put up to speed. She’s now as optimized as a ship can be - all done under 100k polygons - quite the fit actually. Can’t praise enough my 3D artist for his talent…
And don’t ask me if we will see little sailors run around. We’ll see about that when we’ll have a ready game in our hands
Ohh that top render when skinned out will make a heck of a desktop background.
Hehe, thanks, I hope so too
Our monthly update is up! You can check it out on the link below:
Ladies & gentlemen, enjoy the ride
The carrier flight ops are very impressive!
Thanks bro
Now there’s that one ship, you might have heard of her.
She went down exactly 75 years & a few hours ago.
Even though people knew her as a ferocious monster or a very expensive floating resort, one can say that although it failed at delivering the Imperial Japanese Navy with a decisive weapon, High Command still nailed the marketing - after all, she delivered us with a very acceptable anime series & fanboys are still drooling over her 18 inchers decades afterwards.
Ladies & gentlemen, I introduce you to Lady Yamato, in her 1945 garment (but don’t worry, the proper 1942 outfit - and her sister Musashi’s own configuration - will be available soon too)!
Of course, useful to war effort like a dead brick worth 70.000 tons of steel, but hey. Judging by her popularity, awesomeness is a currency better suited to our days of peace, I’d say!
For you younger guys, he’s talking about this. In 1979, after school, on UHF Chan 17…which is something you younger guys also probably don’t know much about… I can still sing along…
I was late to school more than once because of that show.
Wheels
Hey! They were saving the human race! If you are going to be late for something…
Oh don’t worry for them @Hangar200, kiddos had many opportunities to play catch up. SBY had its derivatives…
Not to mention an actual very recent remake
And even a live-action movie ^^
If you’re currently bored at home, here’s some stuff for any original fan of the series I guess
MOG! It’s two whole days later and I still can’t get that damn Star Blazers theme song out of my head!!!
I know right? Torture ^^
Anyway, boys, here’s something a bit different for today. We’re working hard on a few screenshots & video reels to prepare for our big announcement later this month, so this was an opportunity to fine tune our shadows & reflections so that the lady would be as pretty as possible for the party.
Here’s a low-flying CAP from Akagi giving us a hand - together with the rest of the First Air Fleet. You know the drill: naked models, materials, reflections, etc… And the final result, of course
I promise some nice stuff in the upcoming weeks. Some of you guys might have a shock - for the better though, I hope
Cheers!
I think I might have a new desktop background with that last image.
Stunning
Oh my…
Looks incredible. I’m buying that for sure!
You. Guys. Are. GOOD!
