New seat for the SimBox

So, does anybody know how to remove these, without destroying them…?

Is it a two part system that clicks into itself?

It looks like it.
It is possible to pry them slightly apart at the yellow line, in this pic.

They are mirrored, so the parting line is to the front on one, and at the back on the other.

Not sure how they latch, or how much force I can use…

Hmm, well slowly keep prying them I would say. Try and use some soft ish material, and not a screwdriver or such.

Form over function design is something I detest.

Ok, @TheAlmightySnark, following your advice, I proceeded with caution…
I managed to remove one cuff. Broke one latch in the process.
Now that I know how the halves key into eachother, I should be able to remove the next cuff without damage.

I tried glueing the broken part, but I doubt it will hold.
Considering how the cuffs are designed, a couple of small screws should fix that problem.
They should have been mounted with screws in the first place, if you ask me.

Agreed, but this looks like a mount once never remove kind of thing. As unfortunate as it is. Glad to see you’ve got it out!

The Italian Artistic Director hasn0t yet approved that patch on the back pad- please report to him ASAP.

(J/K: it looks amazing! All of it)

My bad! That’s on me.
I should’ve informed the art dept. This patch is required by regulations. But I know that doesn’t excuse the lack of information.

Please don’t go on a strike…again…!
