This is a nice video of a mission. Just in case you’re not sold already on this game:
The Abrams feels like a cheat code, even if you’re using the M1 with the rifled 105.
It’s definitely OP, much like IRL lol. I’m anxious to see some other Western tanks aside from US.
I might just be a little bit biased?
Yup - Centurion, please!
I know I’m biased too, but I still believe the Italian O.F. 40 tank can provide a surprisingly positive performance while not being O.P.
Great gun, great electronics, fast mobility but lackluster armor.
The GHPC devs stated they will only add Fulda Gap scenario hardware of that cold war timeframe.
I don’t know what that means precisely as I never educated myself about the topic, but my guess is Australians and Italians are not part of it.
Heheh I can absolutely imagine.
That said, I will always hope.
PS: my reasoning is only related to the fact that I always hoped Italy would send help to face the Big Red horde in Western Germany.
It’s just the beginning!
My understanding is that the completion of the initial offering will include West Germans and the Soviets (in addition to the current US and East German forces).
But it seems they would also like to do classic expansion packs in the future with new theaters. There are a ton of interesting options for the scenario. NORTHAG with the Britsh Arrmy of the Rhine, the Belgians and Dutch. LANDJUT with Polish, Danish and USMC forces. Czechoslovak and Hungarian forces into Bavaria (with Canada). French reinforcements in south-west Germany. Invasion of the neutrals in the center (Austria and Switzerland). Hungarian attack into Italy. Romanian and Bulgarian attack into Greece and Turkey. Soviet attack into North Norway.
I hope GHPC will have an exciting future. I am having a ton of fun with it already.
From what I’ve seen their saving grace is not going full DCS on the vehicles BUT upping the immersion.
Less “realism” but more “believability” - if that’s a word.
They can dish out relatively fast content without being double guessed at every rivet AND they still provide absolutely mind blowing immersivity with the frankly unbelievably good voice work and scenarios.
Defenitely. I think the scheme for vehicle control with the blend of commander and gunner is great while providing very realistic gunnery.
They nailed also the “player feedback” thing with the very graphic AAR system.
I am frankly smitten and two mouse clicks away from buying it.
My only problem is that I have literally no free time AND I’m going to be so terrible at it…
Any Leopard will do
Really only used that photo because I’m pretty sure I have crewed that particular tank.
I’d kill for a leo and a chieftain
I think it would be more likely that it would be the chieftain … going by the Cold War setting
A man of taste!
Possibly a conqueror mk2 as well. But definitely chieftain mk2 and 5
Give me a Matilda!
That’s what drew me first to Steel Fury and then Steel Armor.
I watched hours of this sim on YouTube - can’t remember his name or channel, but after all that it was very difficult to resist. Took me an age to be able to find Steel Fury, but I ended up getting it directly from Graviteam and then bought the later game on Steam.
I did try playing them, but the UI and all the rest is just such a mess of unnecessarily complicated junk, I couldn’t handle it and so, unfortunately both games remain gathering dust on the virtual shelf. I did manage to fight a couple of minor battles, but they were not that exciting - like shooting ducks at a funfair. I also have the older T72 - Balkans On Fire, but I’ve actually never even started it up, despite having it installed for years. Maybe I should. Thing is, they all require a large amount of time commitment.
edit - think it was this guy:
actually, I think this was the channel!
