There would have to be units available for there to be a sale 
I believe Nvidia threw in the towel and is letting BestBuy manage the US distribution of FE cards for now, but they’re still only doing a limited drop every other week or so and sell out within minutes.
Both of the most recent drops I didn’t have access to my phone or computer and missed out on, it seems the supply problems aren’t going away any time soon.

I called the shop I bought my current PC from last year.
I asked, “I know you’ve probably been asked this a million times but might you have a special source of 3080’s?”.
Guy was like, “I wish, but we currently have 200 on back order. We’re only getting one or two in a week!”.
What a joke.

Hmmmmm… I had a cat (or at least a wet, inquisitive cat nose) in a computer, once.
Shortly thereafter there was a spark and a loud snap, and the cat exited the room at warp 10
Computer was completely dead, and the cat was no longer allowed to supervise and inspect computer repairs.

I’m so weak. I couldn’t wait. Found a trustworthy seller with a brand new sealed box. I already have an ASUS TUF X570 mobo so I figured this will be a nice pairing …
Popped it in and updated the BIOS … seems great so far.

And a TUF , too . Outstanding ! Always been an EVGA guy , but ASUS really brought it with the 3080 TUF .
Early comparisons with my 1080ti are showing 50% gain in 4K. Was getting 50 fps in a certain FS2020 scenario with my 1080ti but in the exact same scenario I’m getting 75 fps with the 3080. I’m happy with the purchase. Nothing mind blowing. If you want more performance, the 3090 looks good. I was just worried I would have to run two separate power connectors to the 3090 which would’ve been a pain plus I was worried I wouldn’t have enough power with my 750 watt PS.

If you can get the 3090 you can upgrade your psu
