Wait, can anyone find a 3070Ti in the US for really 600$?

Sure, @B12, your reasoning makes good sense.
My comment above was just how I interpreted @chipwich post.

NewEgg will sell you one that someone bought, opened, replaced with a GTX280, and sent back.

As a New in Box Item.

That being said, every mainboard I’ve bought has had at least 12+4 VRM array, they never blow out,
My brother bought a budget 6+1 VRM Array board, and it has stability problems in the summer do to the VRM Array overheating from stress.

This seems interesting…

I’d grab that if I were you @HiFlyer

I’ve never heard of Zotac; that alone would make me wary.

Zotac have been around forever. I also believe they have a 5 year warranty, which is considered outstanding.

I am simply hunting prices right now, and if I see anything interesting, I will tend to also post it for others who might be interested.

I am simply saying that if you’re interested in buying a 3090, grab that deal! It looks good!

Believe it or not, there are now even lower prices for 3090s on Ebay. I am guessing the miners/scalpers see the writing on the wall, and are now panicking to get rid of their cards before the market completely collapses.

Current price $720

Currently , US Ebay has used 3090s at about $1k , while new ones start at $1150 . Not sure buying used makes sense with such a minimal discount .

More thoughts from JayZTwoCents on 30xx pricing and 40xx launch. Of course any 40xx predictions are highly speculative and the price of GPUs seems to be tied to crypto pricing, which in turn fluctuates as do traditional markets, albeit with more volatility either direction. He purports to be well connected, as do many creators/influencers (psst, I know a guy), but I don’t have a reason not to give him a listen.

Well, I pulled the trigger and bought a 3080 12GB card. I was kind of interested in a 3080 TI, but I was in a quandary, because it seemed like some people were saying there was no discernible fps difference between the 3080 and the 3080 TI, and some were saying there was a noticeable difference. Now I’m second guessing myself.

After so long not buying a new card because of the stupid mining tax, I just couldn’t help myself anymore.

Thanks! Newegg was having a live video sale of cards from some company called Yestin, but yikes! Even with the extra $250 off that they were offering if you purchased immediatly, I was looking at the colors, and the only thing I could think of was Cruella DeVille!

Could you imagine this thing in your case?

Anyway, I purchased a quite sensible MSI card.

It is a different aesthetic , but one we may well grow accustomed to with the soon-to-be realised advent of large-scale importation of Chinese EV’s .

Looking back over the decades, yes, I think you’re are spot on. The only hardware failures I’ve had have been PSU’s.

Usually its the ‘spare’ PC that tanks from this; I rotate the old one out, relegating it to non-performance stuff. Which is pretty much everything not flight sim related (my Pentium could still run event-based OS programs just fine I’ll bet). Memory and storage is the issue perhaps.
