When I watched that I recalled my experience with the 2080Ti - I thought I’d just wait cus the price was too high. Then the last two years of GPU craziness happened. I did get more pow-a eventually yes, for about the same price. I just had to wait a LONG time.

Looking at the benchmarks for most games, including MSFS, using a 10 or 12gb 3080 card shows little difference between the two; and certainly not enough difference to go for the 12gb version, if it costs more than the 10gb version.
Fortunately for me, prices are a total tossup at the moment, and I lucked out in getting a 12gb 3080 that costs several hundred dollars less than many 10gb versions out there right now.
Theoretically my card should be here in two days. Then the real tests begin.

I purchased my card for $769 6 days ago. It has not arrived yet (supposed to be here tomorrow)
It was out of stock after my purchase, but is now back in stock… at a new price of $1,219.00
Uhmmmmm… Do you guys think I should keep it? Or immediately (without even taking it out of the box) sell this bad boy, at a profit?

That seems high for a 3080. I’m not sure that you would get many takers when you can get a 3090Ti for $200 more and there are plenty in the $850 range. newegg’s prices seem all over the place. The EVGA 3090Ti that I bought a couple of weeks ago for $1399 is $2199 at newegg. Best Buy still has them for $1399.
Is the difference significant over your 3080 Ti. which I think you had, right? At least in DCS.
I had a plain Jane 3080, and yes there is a noticeable difference. Mostly in how smooth VR is. All for the glory of VR. However, it’s not quite apples to apples, because the 3090 Ti doesn’t support the Reverb G2. I’ve reclaimed the Meta Quest 2 that I bought for the kids at Christmas and very surprised at how good the image is. It’s brighter and I don’t notice a difference in resolution. It would be good to test the 2 headsets side by side.
