Oshkosh!

Here’s a Friday recap. Wow, some really amazing warbird flybys. The US Navy cat one was epic. The Hellcat and Bearcat look so much more substantial than the Wildcat.

I’m Very Confident,If anywhere on earth People Would Help out other People in need of assistance It’s at Oshkosh…Aviators and Aviation Fans are just Cool,Good People.
If you find yourself getting tired or over excerpted just ask someone for help…I’m sure if they can’t provide immediate assistance they’ll find someone who will.
Hope You are having a Kick-Ass Time Brother….And Kudos to You for Making The Journey and your Mind telling your body….”I Can…And WILL DO THIS!!”

This is what really struck me last year. Having said that, I spend nearly every day with aviators and aviation fans. I find that they suck at a rate that is roughly in line with the general population. The secret is Oshkosh itself. It brings out the best in people.

Today, im just chilling out on a hill watching off road racing. Looks like i recovered well though. Im not hibbling as usual, so good on chipwich for guilting me into it.

I’m not huge into civil aviation, so I couldn’t recognize all the makes and models. But it’s good to go. At least once and even if it’s one day. As I was on the bus to the seaplane base, i just couldn’t believe how many planes there were (that people flown in) (referencing south 40)

I was there on Friday, and I concur the warbirds section is impressive. It’s one of the reasons I like to go to EAA AirVenture. I’ve seen so many interesting warbirds through the years. I actually only live about 1 hour and 10 minutes away from the show so for me it’s quite easy to reach and I try not to miss any opportunity.

I knew I was going to miss @Chaz and his family but didn’t realize @saghen was going to be there. @saghen and I probably walked right past one another at one time. I was there on Friday from 8am-7pm. Next time we should try and actually coordinate and meet up.
It was a very fun show but the walking around did take a toll on my arthritic hip. Never-the-less it was worth it.

I and my friend were walking around the warbirds section when the Mossie arrived and watched it giggling like children. It actually taxied up and parked right in front of us. Was simply amazing.

So you were there too @chipwich ? On Friday?

I took many pictures and some small video. Here are a few I’ll share from my day on Friday at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022, Friday July 29th. They are just video shorts and not professional so bear with me. Still, my friend and I had absolutely superb seats to the airshow. Best seats I’ve ever had in the years I’ve gone.

I love the sound of the B-25s.

They had a couple of E-2 flying as well. I was actually surprised how fast they really were.

Had some E/A-18 Growlers there as well.

They had a great presentation of all the “Cats” that flew in WW2. Love that sound!

“Cat” Aerobatics.

Easily the loudest and fastest plane at the airshow. You could feel the vibrations when the pilot put the pedal to the medal. Was amazing. F-35C.

Amazing show from the Aeroshell Aerobatics Team flying T-6s.

So much more was there and so enjoyable to watch. Great Airshow if you can ever make it, it is worth the time and effort. Hope to see some of you there next year.
