Thanks I just watched the recorded version of todays live stream, very informative and I like the look of both UAE and Iran and canā€™t wait to rain down great vengeance and furious anger upon the baddies from my Hornet. BTW maybe you should step up and do the live stream whilst Wags is drinking vodka and eating fish eggs

He gets all the good stuff to show off, my live streams will be of current stuff, but Iā€™d like to do them once I settle in a little more.

The ā€œlastā€ videos of Avia Concord XXI was (3-4 years ago):

  • Debre Zeyit, Ethiopia
  • Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan.

Meanwhile the first have only aplicable if ED making a Sudan / Ethiopia map (very improbable), Bagram airbase can be useful on the ā€œfuture claimedā€ Afghanistan map.

SmartGraf show some time ago in your webpage pics Nevada, Afganistan, persian gulf and some profesional products, and of course, the EDGE video (old Project 7), now Avia / ConcordXXI / Smartgraph has not show any new video from 2015

Not sure I have the acting chops to pull that off, I have enough problems with my VO work with ED

As attractive as this module is, Iā€™m still on the fence about buying it. 90% of the features it will offer will be things I never use. I still spend most of my time in DCS flying the FC3 aircraft, so thereā€™s a lot that the Hornet will do that I donā€™t have a lot of interest in and Iā€™m not one to purchase products to subsidize a company in the hope they will eventually make something Iā€™d appreciate.

Are there any plans for the Hornet to use the simplified avionics that the A-10C uses? Itā€™s not perfect, but itā€™s semi-functional. Iā€™m also curious if there are any plans to address the completely broken switch that is the FC3 simplified avionics.

I want to say that the ā€œgame modeā€ or whatever they call it should work for the F-18. Iā€™m going to be straight up honest, I donā€™t plan on mastering every system in the hornet, and Iā€™ll probably reduce the startup sequence to just flipping on the battery, apu, and then firing the engines. Or even ā€œgaspā€ hit auto start. I still auto start the f-5.

This is a reason the Harrier is one of my favorites right now. You fly Marine Air, and the systems are easy to use. I have a feeling the hornet will be more user friendly than the tutorials let on.

Like any airplane, I am sure the Hornet will seem daunting at first, but before you know it, and with some regular practice, you will start to get your flows down and everything important will fall into place.

My experience in other sims is the Hornet is an intuitive jet to operate and fly. Once you get it started, for the mot part your interaction with it will be the HOTAS, the two DDIs, the UFC, and the MPCD. Iā€™d have to go confirm, but I wager, Itā€™d take less than ten button presses and one MFD page to go from a safe jet in Nav mode to dropping bombs on things.

Iā€™ve found that after the 100th or so start up of jet X, the 101st just gets repetitive. I could be using that time to get a drink, re-read the briefing, etc. I auto-start a bunch.

My question to you is with the 10% of functionality you think youā€™ll use, do you think youā€™ll get your investmentā€™s worth of enjoyment out of it? Thatā€™s a subjective appraisal only you can decide.

I will say the majority of complexity in the Hornet is going to be specific navigation subfunctions, and configuring niche parameters that are used in delivering specific weapons in specific modes that are suitable for specific situations.

I think your average take off, drop some dumb bombs on stuff, maybe splash a bandit or two, and land (perhaps on a carrier), would be well represented within your notional 10%. If youā€™re still on the fence, hit me up by PM or TeamSpeak once it releases. I can talk you through what the systems entail.

I know this map is somewhat of a ā€œLaunchā€ Map for The Hornetā€¦But Tightly Populated Cityā€™s like Bandar Abbas make me really excited for some Urban Gunship senarioā€™s image
