Pets of Mudspike

Same here. We’ve had easterly winds for 3 weeks now and unusually for Wales zero rain. It’s been the easiest lambing we’ve had and talking to the neighbours it’s the same for them.

I’ll be honest we could do with some rain now. You can see the grass is ready to go, it just needs some moisture.

Wow… we are 300m above and it’s 3-4 degrees colder when we go to civilisation. 1000m geee and it’d be 8-9 degrees, which is a huge amount.

Love the new horse mate, happy for you, looks really chilled in the new home.

This one has been off the neuroleptics for over a month now without relapse, hopeful that the epileptic fits don’t return. :crossed_fingers:

My old mate is starting to struggle a bit.

He looks happy though… But I guess all retrievers have a permanent ‘this is the best moment of my life, ever’ expression?

Ridgebacks are total sad-sacks in that regard, honestly anyone would think that we beat them.

A new yoke for me means a new box for Henry!

Ha, look at him… “Go on human, stick your hand in here”.

I have lost count of the number of times we have bought (sometimes expensive) toys for our kittehs… And they spent more time playing with the packaging!

that’s funny, I just spent this morning putting away all kinds of (barely used) cat wands and spinny things and devices when I caught him napping with his one true love

And if you stare into the void long enough, the void will stare right back…

Nietzsche had a black cat. Its the only way that makes sense

When you have a cat… literally nothing is sacred.

Actually, cats find many things sacred. Its just… For sanity’s sake we probably really don’t wanna know.

So this poor girl came to us as a foster today. She was dumped somewhere in the San Antonio area and had been on the street for quite awhile. A local rescue organization put out an appeal for a foster and my wife raised her hand (virtually, on Facebook).

She was covered with ticks (we were told they stopped counting at 1800)… ugh!
It was touch and go for awhile. She needed two blood transfusions, and is badly malnourished weighing only 17 lbs when she should be at least 50 Lbs.

Hopefully things are looking up for her now. I have a feeling she will most likely be staying with us permanently.

So far Stanley is behaving amazingly well considering there is a strange dog in the house. He has made huge progress since we adopted him last September.
