Pets of Mudspike

Kind of you both to say so, but they give us as much if not more than we give them. I just can’t understand how people can just dump a dog like that…. :rage:. Sadly it happens all the time.

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. In return, dogs give us their all. It’s the best deal man has ever made

What a sweet pair of pups! I hope the best for that poor girl.

The rescue organization that picked her up off the street named her Stevie which seems to have stuck. I have some photos of the state she was in when they found her but they are quite disturbing, so I will refrain from posting them.

Here she is this morning, looking much brighter and with more energy than she had when she arrived yesterday…

I head out on the road tomorrow for a little over a week. It will be great to see a change in her body weight when I get home.

Wow. Yeah she definitely needs a few more pounds on those ribs. Poor girl.

She’s basically a walking skeleton.

We are going to change that though!

Good grief, that breaks my heart. The feeling of being safe and loved you are providing will allow her to flourish.
Hopefully you can post some more pics when you return PaulRix? Be great to see how Stevie is doing after a week of lovin’ and nurturing

Just have to be careful not to over feed Stevie during this time of recuperation. Her body needs time to adjust to her new reality.

We are being very careful with that, especially here at the beginning. It’s not easy though because she likes to eat!

In that case. I want to be there when karma shoves a cactus where the sun don’t shine.

Unfortunately, whoever it was has probably got themselves a new cute puppy already.

My 13 yr old golden has to have an op tomorrow on a lump near his neck. I’m not in a good place about it. At all.

Not gonna sleep much tonight.
