Can I contact them and make sure your shipping address is correct? I mean…it would be terrible if it went somewhere other than where it should end up right?

I’m pretty sure I gave them the correct address…. ![]()
Pretty sure does not count LOL
So I have pretty much stayed away from my PC all summer. I have two proper motorbikes now and its my first summer in the US of A in two decades.
But my love for DCS and IL2 BoS is still there. However, last night I realized that if you dont use it, you lose it. It took me a while to realize I needed Steam VR to run IL2 on the Pimax. So I played a bit with the new I-153… Das Glorious Soviet Supa Bipe. Great fun. But then I tried to go back to DCS and with Steam VR it was an absolute mess of a slide show. So I deleted Steam VR and now DCS will not boot to VR. Yes, Turn on HMD is checked in the settings. Uhmmm… Is there a better way to do this? What needs to be on for DCS to work with Pimax?
Still no joy…
You ever cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway or the Tail of the Dragon like @Magnum50 did? Parts of the BRP might still be closed due to hurricane Helene damage…but it is such a beautiful parkway. Definitely put it on your bucket list.
Then there’s this one, out west, formerly known as Highway 666:

I rode it once. Spent most of the time leaned over
Took 8 hours just to get to it [from my place then]; as the article below states, it is remote. Think I ran it about a year after the name change
AI Says…
Highway 666 in Arizona is now US 191, also known as the Coronado Trail, a scenic but hazardous route between Douglas and Sanders. Its name was changed in 1992 due to superstitious connotations of the number 666 and persistent sign theft. The highway is famous for its many curves, remote location, and stunning White Mountain scenery, making it a popular but challenging drive.
Location & Route
What it is now: The former US 666 in Arizona is now designated as US 191.
The route: It runs south from Sanders to Douglas, winding through the White Mountains in eastern Arizona.
The original designation: It was the sixth designated offshoot of Route 66, hence the number 666.
Why the Name Change
Superstition: The number 666 has negative superstitious connotations, being linked to the “number of the beast” in the Book of Revelation.
Sign Theft: The route’s controversial number led to widespread theft of road signs by souvenir hunters.
Renaming: Arizona officially changed the designation to US 191 in 1992.
Characteristics of the Road
The route is known for its hundreds of twists and turns, including hairpins, along with beautiful mountainous scenery.
It is a remote highway with very little traffic, offering a secluded drive.
The road can be bumpy, narrow, and sometimes has loose rock and debris, requiring caution and slow speeds.
The “Devil’s Highway” is a popular route for motorcyclists and drivers seeking a challenging and scenic experience.
Article (the sign stealing: so silly):
Its only 1004 miles from my home lol.
Im on the West coast now. NYC boy living the dream…
I think Pimax Play was corrupt. I got rid of my external programs like Quadviews and Open XR. Instead, I reloaded Pimax Play. I am now able to start DCS in VR.
Only run Steam for IL2. For DCS, be sure that Steam VR is not running. It’s really that simple in my setup. (Sorry…just noticed that the question was Pimax-specific. I doubt that the workflow is different but I use a Q3.)
Thank You brother. Got it working
So I opened up Pimax Play and in Games / Render Quality I went with Customize.
At first it was something like 25, 25, 55,16. I went with 40,40,80 and 20. Way too ambitious but WOW. What Pimax Crystal is capable of is amazing. However, it was a stutter Mess. So since I only have a 4070, I kept lowering until I hit a sweet spot. I beleive its like 28, 28, 60, 19… I will post if someone is interested.(Im at work now). Took some trial and error until I got it right but it really does make a difference. I then did IL2 for fun. I hope I can skip the 5 series cards alltogether. Maybe someday Ill get an XX80ti again… For now, I am very satisfied.
Looks like Tuesday is delivery day! It’s going to be a looooooong weekend!

Hmm. It seems I might have a dud. The headset’s green light stays on at power up but once I fire up PimaxPlay, the light turns red and the PC becomes unresponsive to any input, until I unplug the headset, and then all seems to work again. Very strange.
What awful luck. Boo!
well, a quick search on Google suggested updating my Nvidia drivers… and it seems to have done the trick. Phew!
The image quality is excellent with the Super… but I’m not entirely smitten at this point. It’s good… but not the huge leap I was hoping for. Of course, I have only had the headset for one afternoon, so I will keep at it. I didn’t love the Quest 3 in the beginning either but eventually got it running well.
What resolutions you are running with the Super and Quest3? I guess the increased resolution would allow ridiculous super sampling if the GPU can handle it.
