I consider myself but a humble scholar- he IS the master.
Showing my UK bias, but would love a ski-ramp on that LHA one day - would allow for greater take off loads plus we could scream āWheeeee!ā when going off the end. I know the US Marines and their precious helos arenāt keen on the space it took up, but it always struck me as a nice Evel Knievel touch on the UK through-deck cruisers and their Sea Harriersā¦
Ah, but you Brits are a proud and perfidious persistent folk. Iām sure someone will mod in one of your un-level decked totally not carrier cruisers with sub optimal troop transfer capabilities before you can brew your first cuppa.
I now have UK bias. Iām completely converting. Having beans for breakfast tomorrow.
How about some Black Pudding to go with those beans? Add some sausages, bacon (not crispy) and fried bread⦠and then you can officially claim to be British
What about this glorious carrier that came to be 55 years old!
That was the first time I flew the Harrier I believe. There was one in the Domark Flight Sim Toolkit, but Iām fuzzy if that predated USNF or not.
There was also that other one, Flying Nightmares maybe? The one where you fought in Timor? I never had that one but it was also roughly that period.
Iām willing tio give up part of my Italian heritage for a daily supply of that goodness. Every morning.
The problem with a traditional English Breakfast is that while it tastes amazing, it is a heart attack on a plate. I really donāt eat much in the way of greasy or fried foods these days. Oh, to be in my twenties again .
Iām lucky as I easily burn a lot. Itās take me a bit of excercise but I think I could deal with itā¦
So, to the experts here (or at least better informed), what are the main differences between the Night Attack Harrier and the RAFās Harrier GR7? To my untrained eye, they look pretty much identical externally.
It is the clogged up arteries that is the main problem ;). But it tastes soooo gooood!
The GR.7 has a slightly different wings to allow for two additional hard points dedicated to AIM-9 usage, forgoes the GAU-12 with 300 rounds of 25mm ammo for a pair of ADEN cannons with 150 rounds of ammo each (lol, never fitted, whoops), and the cockpit technology has been limeyfied (I imagine superfluous "u"s added and the "e"s and "r"s reversed)
You mean restored to the proper Queenās English instead of the bastardized version so common among the rabble colonies?
tfw the Swamp Germans try to lecture you on bastardizing a language
Swamp Germany, best Germany!
