Gotta be close now…
Well they do both start with H … and maybe RazBam is impatient for the Hornet too?
Plus the Marines have to borrow everything…
Such a Marine pilot philosophy…!
So that would make him… Horny-et?
It’s the only way to get them to land on a carrier. Any sane pilot would find the nearest port, land at the closests airport and have the ship come in. But alas, they insist on doing it this way so yeah. Knock down a few and and get a “Hold my Beer” atittude(too many degrees nose down).
probably a stupid question, but why does the 3d model of the AV-8B in DCS lacks that little hole near the windshield?. Same goes for the height of the “cap” where that hole rests, which is much smaller in real life pictures.
Is this due to some specific version of the aircraft? I couldn’t find a single image where the Harrier looks like the one in DCS though.
FPS issue solved with Hotfix,Just run your updater.
Anyone to help me about the 3d model discrepancy, please?
In the schematic in the pocket guide I don’t think it has it, i.e. here:
It is probably the case of either missed in the model or some variation of the Harrier / AV8B? You should ping Zeus on the ED forums - he’s super responsive there. We do have @Metal2Mesh as a member and he might know as well, being a modelly person
Been thinking about this, perhaps it’s a probe of sorts. One of those LRU type of things that has 20 different variants based on the weather near the production facility that day
It’s still in beta, it’s a hole for ram air system (fresh air for the pilot) that will be added soon. As for the other issue, look at it from a better angle than an old pic with a high angle from long time ago.
Thank you!
I built two with some leo bodnar cards and a couple of 7in car TV entertainment monitors that were about £25 each and run at 1024 x1080
Good to know it’s being worked on yet. Anyway, looking again to that part of the model I noticed why the “cap” could look higher, and it’s because, unless it’s due to an optical effect of the glass, the dashboar seems to be closer to the glass in real life pics (1) and also, the edge of the “cap” has a thick cord around the front windshield which is not present in the 3d model (2). Maybe if the cord is added as a part of the “cap”, then it wouldn’t look too high.
Additionally, the FLIR protuberance (3) has a very different shape, is much smaller and the lens is in a different angle.
looking forward for further improvements.
Thanks!
Frustrating. A bit. 30 Gb download for world one five eight and then not even sure what the Harrier requires
The harrier itself was only 300mb after the update so that’s nice. 1.5 and 2.0 share a lot of files, first time I installed 2.0 I copied over the 1.5 directory and then updated/verified the files.
OH WHAT A NIGHT! I finally gave in to the Harrier. I love the aircraft but this is winter in Qatar. Time to be outside. But I could not resist and I’m so happy I bought it. What a great aircraft it is. And in 1.5 you got all the valleys and mountains to fly through. It looks like I will have control of this in a few hours. I will master it… NEVER.
Love this. Congratulations to the RAZBAM team. They are ON FIRE.
