RAZBAM F-15E

A and B Squadrons used to alternate, that year we (A Sqn) were spectators… Maybe I shouldn’t mention that we were allowed to invite two family members and my brother & girlfriend were sitting in the stand next to me.

Man i wish the Viper got the v9 radar, SAR is such a boost to AG usefulness.

Not gonna lie, I’ve been kinda indifferent to the mudhen coming out. Seeing the patch maps and thinking back to when my brother and I used to two seater over a null modem cable has got me excited.

Dcs does shitty weather increasingly well, and that’s where machines like this shine.

I do hope we get Multicrew that works properly with this jet… and ideally if they manage to implement the great movement tracking of the guy in the other seat that Heatblur did with the F-14 then its going to be even more awesome…:

Yeah between the F-15SE series and Jane’s F-15 I spent more time in the 90s flying the Beagle than any other single plane, including the F-16.

It was my favorite in Jane’s USAF, even in A2A over the C. All those pylons, and fancy displays!

Not that I have made up my mind yet

But that is looking more and more like a day 1 purchase.

What I took away from that (in no particular order):

  • Ron Zambano has been doing this for a long time. Since MSFS 8
  • They may seem to be all over the place, but they don’t think they are.
  • The MudHen is nearly done, but could be some time away as it’s in the Lord’s (wags’) hands now.
  • Ron thinks the pilot can do all tasks and therefore didn’t initially plan for an AI backseater. This is being built anyway now but might not be there at release. A multiplayer backseater will be possible at release.
  • The Beagle is the most complex thing ever built for DCS.
  • There’s some detail in it that anticipates doing a preflight walkaround. MiG-23 will have that as well.

Did I miss a lot?

Man I can’t wait to get my hands on the Beagle. And the Flogger. And the Phantom!

I also understood the subtext to be that the module is submitted for review, which almost gives me hope we see it this year.

Several others seem to think that Razbam haven’t submitted it yet. We shall see.

Another thing mentioned was we will be getting a Suite#4 Strike Eagle…but they hope to add future variants if certain systems are cleared for release.

I wouldn’t count on it,

S4 should be enough to drown users in system depth for the next 6 years.

While we have an F-15E build it is not in our hands as we are waiting for several things to be completed such that it can go into testing. Also, while the F-15E will certainly be a complex aircraft, it still is vastly different than the Hornet given the Hornet’s wider array of weapons, datalink, carrier systems, HMD, autopilots, etc

(Edited for clarification)
