I hate to say that I prefer Falcon to naming my jet after a ‘70s TV show.
Suede flight suits notwithstanding.

Hm, hm, hm… beige and suede. The only thing that could possibly be more 70’s is corduroy
I’m pretty sure that there’s some Velour in those tight, tight pants.
Zapp: Y’know, boys, a good captain needs many skills, such as boldness, daring and a velour uniform.
That’s the thing… I would too.
But… Fighting Falcon…?
I also prefer the Falcon
Who wants to wear a sweaty mask in a cold F-16 when you can stand up showering in a comfortable 3000 ft cabin altitude while flying Mach 0.925 at 41000 ft?
You may be content squinting out of those tiny portholes at angels 40, but I rather tear along a valley at 120 radalt going 600 indicated riding an aircraft that’s all perspex from the bicep on up. Also bombs. Gotta have some of those.
Hehe, I support both your viewpoints.
The most comfortable flying I ever did was in the UC-35 in nothing but a flightsuit, a Bose headset, and a cup of coffee.
But, even though the Harrier doesn’t have quite the view of the Viper, there’s something about sitting on, rather than in the plane that’s hard to beat.
Even if your parachute harness has been up your @ss for the last hour since you didn’t adjust it quite right before you strapped in!
Love me some Zapp!
She’s built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro!
April 13th… point two. We have failed to uphold Brannigan’s Law. However, I did make it with a hot alien babe. And in the end, is that not what man has dreamt of since first he looked up at the stars?
To right I only ever called it Falcon after the bird of Prey which to me was better - but was less aware of the crappy AA missile also. Viper is just a USAF nickname anyway - there are people around the world that worked on F-16s for decades that had no idea it was ever called “Viper”.
My favorite parts of that show were when Brannigan showed up.
The mind is willing, but the flesh is spongy and weak
I’ve made it with a woman. Inform the men.
You said “spong”!
Captains log! Spong!
Wow thats an obscure reference! Lets see how many non brita get that one!
I’m curious about what you guys have planned controller wise for The WSO position??
With a flight control stick and two other sensors/Weapons sticks do you have any specific controls planned??
Haven’t giving it much thought, I play mainly single player, So my time will be spent up front.
I would say maybe a Xbox controller. However its hard to say, Most of my controls get sorted out during the first few flights.
