RAZBAM F-15E

Yeah, that was confirmed by HIP GAMES in his latest video, the parking brake must be on and no refuel/rearm during alignment.

EDIT: It seems that I’ve been able to get initial alignment started with the chocks in place, but found this on page 62 of the manual, The Holding Brake ON signal is used by the INS to enter re-alignment after
interrupted alignment takes place.

The chocks part of that makes no sense.

Responding to below. I get that it is good SOP to keep the chocks in. Just not the systems relationship between chocks and INS/IRU alignment. Makes sense with the F-14 because that’s how the game manages the link between the jet and the carrier.

Not sure they are required, but i leave them in for extra security.

We never pulled them in the real world until the pilot was ready to taxi anyway.

Has anyone figured out how to turn on the IFF? My IFF switches are all set but it still shows OFF in the UFC.

I’m also surprised I can’t do a decent unrestricted climb with no tanks and only 3xAmraam 1xSidewinder. I can barely get to 300kts by the end of the runway in level acceleration.

I’ve heard that the UFC will read IFF Off no matter what right now. Simply set the IFF Switch to A or B (from the out position) and it will work. Coolie Hat Left Long will interrogate radar contacts. Friendly contacts will appear as dots.

I have figured out how to drop bombs and how to get the TPOD pointed in the right direction. What I haven’t figured out is how to actually hit anything. CDIP often goes haywire on me, and the pod often looses line of sight just before impact. Perhaps I should fly a very precise pattern after drop? Also, how do I make the pod zoom in?

If you want we can go up together and figure it out. I’ve had a few hours with a Closed Beta Tester last night and he explained quite a lot so I do get bombs on target.

I’m around all day basically. Give me a 30min heads up and if I’m not already playing DCS on another server I’ll be there.

Zoom in is auto acquisition forward, zoom out auto acq aft

I was trying to figure out multiple FOX3 with TWS, but I think I’m missing something:
• radar ON
• castle switch to radar screen to make it SOI
• bug a target to get into STT
• auto acq aft short to enter WIde Pattern TWS (2TWSH)
Now there is a way to auto designate the other targets so you can switch between them with Coolie Hat Up, but I didn’t figured how to do it yet. Will have to dig into the manual more.

To auto designate I believe AUTO has to be boxed, PB10 on the MFD is auto.

I might take you up on that later this evening if you’re up for it.

Sure. Shoot me a message on Discord when you’re ready. I might not catch it here on the forums

I just (finally) got some time to have a quick hop. Thanks for the ack switch trick, zooming the tpod (and putting a tiny deadzone and some curve on the axis for the designator) I managed to put GBU-16 right where I want them. For some reason the 28 just flies long.

I figured a slight turn to the right, then a climbing turn to the left after weapon release keeps the thing on the thing long enough for the bomb to find its mark.
