OMFG! Where can I find them!?

I’ve been subbed to PLASMO for years - he’s a modelling God and a highly talented person.

People who are good at weathering are just…superhuman. My attempts at weathering always swing between too haphazard and too calculated.

I sourced a few of mine locally in Japan. But I have ordered a few on Amazon… This is a link to the Osprey…

Brilliant! Thanks!

A lot of the guys in the modelling group I used to go to had a big thing about the egg planes. I saws some in my local model shop before it closed, as well, they just didn’t do anything for me.

I also tried the 1/144 scale fighters etc when that craze started, but I was awful at building them and ended up giving them away. Some of the builds the guys did in that scale were amazing.

waiting for new coat.

both F16 and Su27 are Revell 1:144.

Su27 is toy-like ie no fine details, but the F16 is crazy detailed for this scale imo - two types of wingtip launchers one for 9 and one for 120 etc.

I need to toy with my airbrush settings, totally screwed up the stripe, but still happy.

Looks Awesome!!! Nice Job

You’re being too hard on yourself.
White stripes are tricky!
I get good results if I paint the tape edges with the same color as the stripe and then paint the body color. That way the stripe color creeps under the tape and seals the microscopic gaps that the body color would seep through.

Unfortunately, I seem to have lost a vital part on my Lynx model (goes between the rotorhead and the top of the fuselage/engine). I reckon I should be able to do a makeshift replacement with Milliput, though. i have a second kit to use for reference, thankfully.
Now wishing I had rubbed down those rotors and repainted them!

so lot of interesting modeling work you got with the Lynx

Yeah I think I can fairly say that I messed up this one, but having done it will help with the AH.7 when I build that. They are good kits.

Ooooo, thanks for that tip.

I decided to do some restoration work on my older models.

first reason is to train some painting techniques. second reason is I have an idea how to use the repaired builds.

here some work done on the Mirage F1 engine nozzle
