Show us your sim pit!

Boxing day! Walmart was practically giving away these 65" TCL panels!

The pic doesn’t do it justice as I had to lower brightness to near zero to take the pic but it is gorgeous with a high level of clarity and zero input lag!

What happened to the 75" :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

In all seriousness, that is an awesome setup you have there.

Thanks man. 75" wasn’t feasible … it wouldn’t fit in my space and I don’t have a piece of furniture long enough to hold it (that’s what she said).

65" seems prefect for a sim pit. 55" was cool for a desktop setup.

Wow @elby that looks amazing! I’m so jealous!

That whole set up looks stunning mate

WOW! :open_mouth: That looks awesome!

I’m waiting for my Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle to arrive tomorrow (in the hands of the Amazon gods), how’d you like it? I had the Logitech one for Christmas but it was (in good old Saitek style) spiking and glitching all over so it’s ready to return and I paid (a LOT) extra (don’t tell the better half…) and bought the Honeycomb.

It would be economically irresponsible not to buy!
Looks great!

Sure thing, grabbed everything I needed off the site. Firmware was already at latest version. Now it’s just tweaking and having fun figuring it out.

I only have the Bravo and definitely no regrets with that purchase. And, I love the way the Bravo autopilot integrates seamlessly with X-Plane 11.

We won’t tell if you don’t

I have only ever got into trouble when SWMBO has snuck into the man cave and while looking over my shoulder has said “Oh God, what are you buying now” - which has happened frequently of late now that I am retired and need a hobby :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha  well she asked last night and I had to tell her and she wasn’t bothered, yet… Lol

It’s all just been delivered and the throttle quadrant is massive! They both look fantastic though, very nice build quality. Can’t wait to fire them up

Beware. That means she is thinking long and hard about how much you owe… I hope you have deep pockets :stuck_out_tongue:

Awesome setup. How easy is it to swap a joystick in instead of the yoke?

Very. Undo the two ‘locking’ nuts and the joystick post slides out of the support.

I have the ‘Commercial’ edition instead of the ‘Military’ edition. The only difference is that instead of green fabric, I have faux sheepskin.

Yup, what @Harry_Bumcrack said.

Also, I was wondering how I could make my Next Level Racing FS rig work nicely with first person shooting. Then I thought, “What about that monitor riser I built 20 years ago!”. Works perfect! Solid shooting platform for me since I’m a right handed, left handed keyboard shooter (I’m weird) …

I call it the fpsbnb since it’s a little table that you slip on and off as if you were eating breakfast in bed.

You should have that trademarked!

Helping a friend I met recently. He’s selling this F-16 simpit project.
Located in Auburn, Alabama and I went to see this yesterday. Sadly it won’t fit into the space I’ve got in my hobby room.

The workmanship is excellent. If you’re interested, PM me and I’ll make the intro.
