It has been made Steam Deck compatible and itās already on GOGā¦
There is a lot of work going on behind the scenesā¦ not sure I can officially speak for the devs - after all I was a contract-artistā¦ but I can promise you 100% thereās a lot more incoming.
EDIT: Speaking of which I got commissioned to make a personalized playerās profile picture by a very generous SKALD/Discord player/user!
So -yeah- little plug hereā¦ if you want your face in the game it doesnāt get any better I am literally the game artist.

As I donāt have one and have no interest in one, Steam Deck didnāt even occur to me.
However, itās perfect for a game like yours! I can easily imagine people playing it on their commute on the train/bus or during lunch or whatever. Hope that aids your sales given how often people complain ānot SD compatible/runs poorly/etc!ā for some other types of games.

Itās amazing. Every train ride since Christmas Iāve been playing SKALD. I havenāt even booted up any other game on the Steam Deck for weeks.
I just finished (I think itās finished) the Firgol part. Literally gut-wrenching.

To summarize, they gave Skald higher marks than:
Monster Hunter Wilds
Avowed
Civ 7
Sniper Elite Resistance
And Indiana Jones and Great Circle! (same reviewer as Skald)
Skald was a mere 1 point behind Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 which is already getting GOTY whispers.
Now of course these numbers arenāt usually literally comparable, but a few of those games got scores in the 70s and thatās definitely a couple of steps back. So Skald didnāt have the same budget or lofty ambitions as these massive games, but it went beyond what it reached for and is acknowledged as such by someone whose remit is to tell people what not to waste their time on!
And we know that unlike a big AAA game, where you might wonder āwould they really bad mouth a game from a sponsor, their disclaimer notwithstanding?ā I think no one would ever accuse Skaldās team of having the resources for paying off anyone for a review, outside of maybe a free copy which is often standard anyway.
Itās a win, itās a clean win, and almost everyone agrees. Very rare indeed.
