Did I miss the SLUFF in there somewhere? Definitely hoping that one makes it to release sooner rather than later.

Im starting to think its somewhere in the Berlin area. Hard to say what year though. Lots of repurposed airfields after the cold war ended.
There are some fairly big builds or equipment in the distance, Top right. Not sure what that is
Also for the record, I dislike center tank only configurations on the Eagle…

Maybe, there was a picture of a Nato base with a “Partnership for Peace” banner. That programm was established in 1994 so it’s definitely a possibility that it’s a base in the former GDR. Looking at the landscape I would be inclined to say West Germany and I have seen hangars that kinda look like these in pictures of old USAF bases in Germany. Generally, the farmland in Brandenburg is often more open with less treelines disrupting line of sight although this has changed quite a bit in recent years. I might be wrong though

Not that I know of but this does look like the inner German border, so not related to the KFOR Leopard 2 in any way

I assumed that was the German map but as far as I know there are no other new maps in development apart from Australia and Germany

Ok, so just an unlucky coincidence.
That’s what I thought, and knowing ED’s love for easter eggs in their videos, I thought maybe KFOR had a special significance…
Would be a nice map though.

DCS is a funny, eclectic bunch. Sometimes i think they lack direction and just drift around.
Was the release of the Chithook a surprise? It was to me! Then theres the random trainers and a solo race plane.
The I-16 still has no purpose. And on that note: Go to the fantastic Qiuick Start ground attack. Its winter, the wind, fog and snow has you engulfed in this valley. You see the enemy convoy, you arm your weapons and… ATTACK! Wait, a HUMMVE? a fuel carring HEMMIT? WHAAAT? I quickly changed these to a Third Reich convoy and all was good w the world. I guess WW2 assets is not free?
But i degress. My point is, DCS is going to do, what DCS is going to do. Random as it may seem. We might see Wonder Luftwaffe weapons this week and next week its a Cessna 172(i dont put it past them). In the end, there is enough content to keep me busy till i die.

The F-117 is IMO Never going to happen. Its just a.i. eye candy. Would be boring anyway…
Same goes for the Draken. As much as we all want it… Just a.i. eye candy… For now… BUT, Do not underestimate the Swedes. They have lots of pride in their aeronautical achievements.
