There’s the hype and there’s actual sensible application of machine learning that doesn’t need a nuclear power plant, the latter also happening in abundance (example: telecom background noise suppression), it’s just being overshadowed by con artists like Sam Altman.

Things like noise suppression and the YOLO AI that guesses what things are in a single frame of video are what make me think that maybe there is room for a neural net or GAN model to at least choose the reaction an AI aircraft is going to take, even if it doesn’t handle the simulation of how the AI aircraft gets there.
Some of these models seem to do a lot in a very short time period. Or at least they’re abstracting what for my brain is a complex process to something simple - but I digress…

I’m going out on a, random, limb here: a DC was a waste of time for them, outside of generating revenue - if sold separately. Which is important, just not where I’d like it to see it go.
Will ‘we’ like the restraints this system places on us?
I give it, oh 18-months til disappointment sets in, having nothing to do with their work.

And yeah, about 5 years ago DC noises were made (maybe longer). I wanted this. Held my breath for about 2 years, then said, ‘the heck with it, I’ll figure out how to do it myself’.
So NOW that I’ve got something that’s close, with limits imposed by the system mind you, they’re going to do it. So there’s that

Hey, SRS is still pretty much the standard despite ED’s “built in VOIP comms” … don’t throw away your good work because ED’s marketing is writing cheques their code can’t cash sometime way in the future

Feedback from others (very few though) is that this ‘style’ of combat flight sim-ing (more realistic experience) has long past.
I felt this months ago but - I’m finishing it dang it! Even if it ends up on only one hard drive. I’ve flown very little in the last year; there’s a Phantom that needs the dust blown off of it.
There should be pieces of it that could be used - I seriously doubt they’d throw away the entire “lua thing”. Encrypting it? Hope not.

I would like to see a rejoin of RAZBAM since i think they made very good Modules which are visual maybe not on eye level with Heatblur but the F-15E is a very complex Module (compare the Radar for example with other modules) and i can imagine that this may have led to a fight about payments and who gets which sized pice of the cake. I think if enough DCS players make a clear statement here a further RAZBAM jointment would be possible. And i think many DCS players would agree.

At this point I’d settle for “ED and Razbam have terminated their agreement, and ED has purchased rights and software to keep the Razbam modules running in their current state”.
But even that seems impossible when you’ve got such … “big personalities”, shall we say, involved!
