The “DCS 2025 and beyond” hype thread

The -35? really? but… classifications and things? wtf? and if we’re doing that, I want full fat flankers too. And not just a basic -27.

However, even at some sort of neutered, cleaned, spruced-up for propaganda purposes panther, I for one will be flying it until my hands are skinned!

Not to rain on the parade, but they didn’t say it would be full fidelity… or even flyable

I just can’t wait for a F-15C with the SA page and datalink! That’s going to change stuff in the online arena at the very least - we might see Eagles being flown up at angels 40 where they belong!

I thought I saw the Strike Eagle, but it might have been a -C?

Not to Worry!! By the time we get the F-35 we will all be retired and the F-35 will no longer be classified… LOL

“Would this not unbalance DCS?”

Lol yeah it will :joy:

Of course, mission makers can just not include it

Full fidelity F15C…say no more. For me that will make up for the 15E loss.

I’m not going that far… but F-15E isn’t gone yet, and if it does die maybe an ED version is on the cards?

For me it won’t. But I don’t consider my strike eagle lost. It flies well, the radar works, the pod works. Too bad it won’t get some of the nicer gizmos like link16 and the newer pod. But like the harrier and the Mirage 2k, it’ll remain a useful module for some time, and I have hope ED and RAZBAM can come to an understanding towards the source stuff to perhps make continued development happen.

We’ll see.

Grey eagle. Full fat. Frak yea baby! gonna get our fighter on!

Yeee…kind of under-whelmed here. This is a smart way to introduce things though; you don’t really say, exactly, what is coming up.

I noticed (have to go rewind it) but the ground units seem to not be trotting in place, in slow motion. That’s good.

Some new modules are always good.

See evolution, not revolution, with some question marks.

On the F-35

My first thought too. Makes no sense [if flyable]. But, hey, I know little about the F-35 (for a reason).

Pre-MSIP? I thought there’s still a lot of very classified stuff MSIP and beyond. My Eagle-driver buddy mentioned it me - 20 years ago- when I was fondling his JHMCS headgear in their locker room. He just gave me a ‘mind-blown’ gesture concerning the capabilities. I didn’t ask for more.

Exactly.

F-15E

So far it’s seems to be right there where it was IRL for Desert Storm timeframe. I’m enjoying it when I get the time.

I’ll be disappointed if it’s a pre-MSIP Eagle. We’ve basically already got that in the low-fidelity module…

MISP isnt as classified as it was. I believe they could give us a MISP 15C and leave out the classified stuff and we wouldnt really know.

Ill be happy with a 15C that can carry

AIM-9L/Ms

AIM-120B
AIM-120C

AIM-7

If they include the AIM-9X thats a bonus.

I loaded weapons on the 15C for 6 years. I love that jet. The 15E is a great fill in but nothing beats a 15C in the Air.

I’ve not kept up. I was thinking of MSIP II and beyond. Shoot, there’s things from 1960’s that are likely still classified (IFF/NCTR stuff and such) and always will be. I think they need a DCS EW ‘module’. Would be something, and consistent, at least, filling a big hole.

Can anyone ID this airbase? I suspect it’s in West-Germany but my search has come up short so far

If they give us their version of the BMS F-15C I’ll be happy enough.

Given this is probably a response to BMS advertising their F-15C as “the only full fidelity F-15C simulation”, it’d look bad for ED not to include the SA functionality to at least a similar level as BMS, whichever MSIP that actually corresponds to…

Awesome! Where/when? My bud was at Okinawa…wherever over there the “Fighting Cocks” were, twice. and two stints at Bitburg, ending at Mt. Home. This was all pre-2004-ish.

I was stationed at Mtn Home. Started laoding them 2005ish. Was at Mtn home from 2000 to 09
