The Professionals - Professional planning in Progress

Nice job, but there is definitely something wrong here … we are almost looking like competent freedom fighters :grinning:

AHHAHAH yeah, I start to feel the need to express our… professionalism!

PSA for @tempusmurphy : I read the manual without the pressure of an active on-going mission and I understood that thing about you not being able to pick some weapons… Next time I should be able to fix it.

As a side note I think it’s time to try and conquer one of the nearest smaller villages like Agios Konstantinos. I’m actively studying a very… uhm… Professional plan.

PSA for @TeTeT : Sorry if I ask, is the game set as Rebels vs Invader vs Government, right?

Sounds like a plan to me … hearts and minds :grinning:through superior firepower :sunglasses: and now we have proved we can take down road blocks

We already have.

Those large IED make for some massive fireworks.

I think that radio tower down south might be a good target for that

Yes, the game is set to 3 way fight: Rebel vs Government vs Invaders.

Nice progress so far! I recommend to try a logistics mission eventually to grab an ammo truck. It’s loaded with goodies usually, though the capture can be … interesting.

I think it would be awesome- but in a way we still trying stuff out , feeling around to see how it all works.

So, I tried a few solo runs and I was surprised to realize I managed to acquire some interesting gear without even getting hit once!

The usual nearby coastal village of Agios Konstantinos features a small garrison of corrupt officials some vehicles and not much more. Easy money!

I walk over there light: normal clothes, cap, aviator sunglasses and one small backpack with a single handgun and a few clips of ammo…

No time to take pictures but it went more or less like this.
I walk until I reach the beach and spot immediately four officers split in two groups and another separated from them.

I follow the latter as he enters a home with aggressive stance.
As he reaches for the second floor I make my mind, whip the gun out of the backpack and double tap his noggin. The noise is deafening and I scramble to pick up his facsimile FN P90 with a few magazine of ammo.

It doesn’t take long for the others to approach the house where I’m quickly rearming but they make the mistake to enter my field of view one at a time.

A short burst each and two more men hit the ground. At this point I feel pretty confident that the area is clear and I cautiously pick up a few more packs of ammunition for my submachine gun.

I bolt to the closest car, a red pickup, and race back to the base.

This is getting fun,. :sunglasses:

Once at the HQ I pack a loot box on the vehicle’s flatbed and with a clean “civilian” undercover status race back to pick up the rest of the goods.

Coolly I realize that two more law enforcer are patrolling the area alerted.
They have no eyes behind their back and once walking behind a larger house the P90 that helped me before sings again and both drop dead.

A quick rush around with the loot box and I can drive back to the HQ with another nice load.

Here I find out that this pickup can be modified. Nice!

This is what I manage to bring back.

Support for our faction (FIA) slowly grows as the government forces gets pummeled.

My partial tag for the night

We starting having a decent amount of ballistic armor chest pieces, helmets, better SMGs with plenty of ammo, and a few more long rifles.

@Tempus, I managed to find a handful of 12mm cartridges too.

Very cool nights work :grinning:you got some good stuff there and also thinned out the dodgy cops , how do we take over the town ? And as for the 12.7mm ammo … oh yes

Ah I forgot one thing, maybe silly but… I went to look at that checkpoint we eliminated and, color me impressed, it remains destroyed!

I was sort of guessing it would have been rebuilt, but if this is the case - maybe just maybe - we could think assaulting that other checkpoint due north, close to that resource point, and see what damage we can do there too…

I have been reading the manual and doing some thinking. I might have a clearer idea on how to proceed.

sounds like a good plan, looking forward to tonight  i might do some recon around that resource point

It has been a cracking journey, with some really tense tough moments. This mod has brought a whole new lease of life to arma, and we always look to recruiting more of the Professionals freedom fighters :grinning:

@Tempus, regarding the conquest of Agios K., as you can see here, the support for the rebel cause is at 18 %. Every time some baddies gets it (:skull:), support for us increase 1%, but strangely every time we pilfer a car () support for us decrease for the same amount…

So as you seen here

we’re not doing to bad, considering the amount of cars we… ehrrr… liberated.

Citizens’ cars? No…

So, my little plan- eventually- is to load up a loot box in the pickup, drive down loaded for bears to Agios K. and carefully Recon In Force and loot up on everything.

Allow me to put this here and run it to you to see if I’m making some massive mistake or overlooking something.
