I was going for ”interior green” or ”cockpit green”.
I know.
We sophisticates call it “zinc chromate green”.
Actually, that’s what we model aircraft nerds call it.
Yeah, it goes by many names, and has as many different shades
Now, even, babyfood green
Actually it did make me think of a swan’s office more than babyfood, but i just couldn resist takin a jab at it
A what now…?
Russians don’t often give their machines nicknames but the su27 they call the swan. The su 25 is the grach, rook.
AAAAAAAAH…! Of course!
I was thinking that was a euphemism for something…and I didn’t want to know what for.
Hey gang - I know I don’t get to contribute much, but I’m still playing DCS World (and crashing, and getting shot down, and wishing I had more time to practice), and I was able to go for another PC recently.
This time, due to really limited space, I went with a Digital Storm All-in-One. It’s an Aura, curved 34" screen with a built in 1080, and all of the stuff in the back is upgrade-able and replaceable.
I went with an AMD, and the chipset will arguably be replaced with a 2700 next month - the motherboards just require an update, and the slots are the same. I think AMD have finally come up with something unique, and I’m hoping this AI system they’re promoting works.
Anyway, here are some of the specs - I’m using a TM 1600 Hotas, Joystick, and rudders, which I’m still getting used to, but I THINK they are better than the X-55 I’ve been using on another PC.

You sir have one filthy-ass mind. go into that corner and meditate on the concept of soap for an hour!
<edit.> I misremembered my russian aircraft nicknames. It’s not the swan, it’s the Zhuravlik [crane] which makes sense because the -27 actually looks like that bird in flight. The (white) swan, Biyeliy Lebed, is the Tu-160.
Also funny is ‘chemodan’ [suitcase or trunk] for the MiG-23 and/or the Su-24. Less beloved Sukhoi planes (the Su-7 for example) were called ‘Suka’ [female dog]. The extension -ka is a diminuitive, so ‘little su’ becomes ‘sushka’ or ‘suka’. voda [water] → vodka [tiny water]. And they say russians dont have a sense of humor
Didn’t the Russians call the Tu-22 “awl” because it resembled the tool? I also seem to recall the MiG-21 being nicknamed ‘the pencil’.
Cool! Been ages since I used an AMD CPU. The new Ryzen chips are getting good reviews…
Did some touch up painting, with the babyfood green, to cover new parts, and old scuffmarks.
Also added supports for the top lid.
The Polish called it pencil.
Troll got it right for the Russians.
And now back to the studio.
Looking damn good
Dark grey, like an anthracite would look spiffy imo.
