She’s honestly impressive.
The more time goes on the more I realise she’s truly an artist like few there are.
EDIT: After watching the whole clip- Holy Hell I might even end up liking this movie too…
Well, so far, I like the music better than the '86 version. It just wasn’t my cup-o-tea back then.
Oh Hai Jennifer Connelly
Looks like Lady Gaga is one of the Primary Score Producers w/ Harold Faltermeyer.
She deserves it, She’s really really good.
How does a Navy Captain afford a P-51? Those are expensive.
Also, DOD has VERY strict laws about wearing the proper PPE when riding motorcycles on base.
He gave lectures and sold the movie rights from his experience with the MiGs. He used the proceeds to buy a Mustang wreck that he restored himself
We have an RNoAF Lt. Col. who owns a T-33 over here…
Don’t forget it might have been a family heirloom he inherited.
Maybe he had an uncle in the Airforce… Would explain why they were reluctant to mention him in the first movie.
He’s also a test Pilot for Skunkworks…
There’s a lot of retired USAF/Navy Officers that end up owning/flying warbirds when they leave the service. I know several that I can think of, although most of the time it’s more along the lines of a T-6 Texan or T-28 Trojan, rather than a 1.5M Mustang. But when you consider a 20-25 year career with a decent retirement and assume good investments along the way, it’s not that hard to understand. Most .mil officers seems to live pretty modestly (below their means) in my experience.
You also have to bear in mind that aircraft values have skyrocketed in the last 24 months. Mustangs now seem to be in the $2-3M category; they weren’t that high a few years ago. Now the cost of owning and feeding one would pale in comparison to a Yacht…
Wasn’t there a USMC officer that ended up buying his own Harrier (actually I think it was 3, two flyable and one spares) that he flew in airshows for several years?
(In looking at current P-51 prices I stumbled upon this: drool city!)

Dale Snodgrass arguably The Best Tomcat Driver used to fly The Mustang and The Sabre at Air Shows,R.I.P
Of all the improbable aspects of Maverick’s life and career, THIS is the one we pick apart?
I’ve already picked apart the rest, I think.
there is actually nothing better than to own an aircraft… you know it yourself
