I don’t think I ever quite appreciated how huge those side cheek bits (pretty sure that’s what they are called) are…either that or the chap in front is a midget but I don’t think he is!

So I think that’s the K-model, with a bunch of upgrades…but those side sponsons appear to house all the fuel plus the retractable landing gear, so that the cargo space can fit Hummers

I got to fly the D model (by “fly” I mean wiggle the stick around until the Major sitting next to me couldn’t stand it any more) when I was a stashed 2LT in NAS Willow Grove.
