Victork2 and his ultimate folly

You could almost use an intercom system in that thing.

Its actually on the list of things to do. Its deafening in there and i can’t hear a thing the kids say

You say that as if that’s a bad thing

Serious question. Someone made a comment to me today in the real world that made me think and worry somewhat

I’m not annoying anyone by posting this stuff about the humvee am i? If this comes across in any way as boastful, showing off, or anything other than just sharing something with you guys, whose opinions and friendship i value greatly, please tell me, I’m happy to cease and desist.

It, is after all is something i bought to have adventures with my family and not to throw in everyone’s faces. I hope that comes across as genuine. I’m very proud of the truck, its my baby but I’d hate that to be taken as anything but my wanting to share that fun and good times in the real world with my friends spread too far across the world on mudspike. But seriously, its just an old military bus that I’m entirely too fond of, please do tell me if I’m wearing thin on the subject

I would be upset if you stopped posting.

How else am I going to vicariously live out my HMMWV adventures

They aren’t bulletproof either. This popped up in one of my newsfeeds today.

Thanks all. Just wanted to check this was not coming across as “smug” because that is literally the opposite of how i try to conduct my self deprecating ass.

As my dad would have said …”don’t be daft” we are all vicarious humvee drivers because of you :grinning:

@Victork2, Your “ultimate folly” has been the best thing on Mudspike since you began that journey. Keep it up!

I will never own a Humvee but seeing the joy it is bringing you and your family makes me happy for you every time you post about your adventures with it.

Keep it up, man. Just promise to post some of the stories Jay Kay is sharing with you on those car meetings

WHAT?! Absolutely not! I for one look up to you, your skill that make look so easy taking apart an entire military jeep, and the way you are handling your family on top of things. You’re great mate. 100% truth.

I doubt anyone here is annoyed by your posts.
And quite frankly, if they are, it’s their problem…

I love reading posts about your HMMWV!

They had the Cybertruck touring around Norway a few months ago, visiting Tesla dealerships. But they had to haul it on a car carrier, since it’s not street legal here.

It had become the F150 of rich people. They are all over the place here in north Jersey. Ugliest machine I have ever had the misfortune to see. The drivers are often a bit ****-ish I’ve started to notice.

I wouldn‘t call it ugly, but it looks like a shiny brick on wheels when it‘s closing distance fast on the opposing lane.

For sure it‘s hard to miss and easy to identify. Also smaller than I expected, so Viktorks Humvee is definitely more impressive.

And apparently it sucks at pretty much everything that a truck is supposed to be good at. Which is weird.

That was my impression too.
