All you need now is a DsHK on the back of that toyota and you have the set
Or a pod of S-5 rockets!
RBU-3000 would be stylin’ XD
Nothing says ”Stay off my lawn!” like a roof mounted GAU-19.
All good choices, but I have always been partial to an AGL. Gold tops FTW.
Just had a thought whilst i was looking for a set of wheels for my Hilux. Was looking at a set of Black Rhino Arsenal wheels as they were cheap and my wheels are leaking and just a pain in the arse no matter what i do to seal them up.
Black rhino Arsenal also make a lovely humvee pattern wheel, that if i was so inclined…would look awesome. But i want to keep it standard.
However, the thought hit me. I own a humvee, i also own its only natural enemy! The Technical!
I’ve never put that together before but that is hilarious. Must have been awkward as hell making conversation on the driveway between them two!
Meh…it made me chuckle enough to share. Maybe i should buy a UAZ-469 as well and really complete the early 2000’s battle tractor set.
As this thread is titled “ultimate folly”, I agree you need a UAZ to complete the set
Or because the M939 deal fell through… And I know Ace is a Mudrunner fan, Maybe a Ural (4320) or Kamaz?
After a somewhat hellish evening/night laid on my back under a broken down lorry and getting it ready for recovery (I’ve decided i could do with getting a recovery lorry…) and nearly freezing to death AND having a lorry driver shout in my face so close that i would have had to lean back to headbutt him whilst my friends were playing reforger without me.
I decided to take a break from fixing things and go and get my overalls on and fix something so i stripped out and replaced the Fuel sender and gauge and made some wiring adjustments and now have a working fuel gauge!
Great job!
I assume the gauge above it is the combined fog/rain indicator? GB-specific model
yes. Indeed.
Thats the high concentration version of a normal engine oil pressure gauge. Made specially so its unreadable once in motion
Successful day today. Fixed the high level intake to the windscreen with some new Well nuts. Changed the transmission oil, fuel filter, and transfer box oil.
Minor cockup. Drained the transfer box and wondered why it looked so clean… whoops did that in the summer and forgot to write it down.
Fuel lift pump has failed, peeing diesel everywhere so thats next weeks job.
Got some new earbuds for my birthday that are totally noise cancelling so i had some rock playing and had a lovely ‘zen’ afternoon with my own company and did some jobs.
I’m not looking forward to doing the lift pump. Its got an awkward look about it and i have a feeling the pushrod that actuates it will be a pain. But its been getting worse all summer and is starting to cause the truck to lose its prime. I have one in stock so I’ll do that next weekend i think
Happy birthday mate
I’m very wary of working where there’s live current, but working around fuel absolutely terrifies the living sith out of me.
Respect.
Diesels no different to water. Its just makes you stink. Petrol is fine as well really. Just don’t smoke lol.
I’d happily work on diesels with a cigarette on the go if i smoked.
My dad was a lorry driver, and I remember him setting fire to some paper and card underneath the diesel tank in his lorry… to thaw it out if it was bloody cold this was back in the 70s so health and safety was a bit lax
Yep absolutely! Its a bit better mixture these days but they still do that in canada etc. No fear those old hands.
Australian Army workplace safety '90s style.
Pulling up in your Leopard next to the fuel Tilly (TLC/M548) and grabbing the fuel nozzle from the operator who has a lit durry (cigarette) hanging from the corner of his mouth. Hearing the ‘pfssst’ as he tosses the butt and it extinguishes itself in the spilled diesel sloshing around in the bottom of the vehicle…
