Viper update

I did know a few italian fighter pilots that flew in exchange squadrons in the US and the guy that flew the Viper said something I will never forget.

“it’s like the stick can read your brain- the jest starts doing what you want before you feel the impulse going through your hand to the stick”

EDIT: Another flew the Hawg but I cannot report what he said- I’d get banned.

I haven’t tried refueling recently but I’ve been flying it frequently with some friends online doing the Pretense Syria mission and it definitely feels less…sloshy to me. It’s also an A2A beast.

You might want to go back and check the Change Logs. ED does make FM changes now and again.

As Colonel Jeff Cooper is oft quoted: “If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck”.

Once I get my headset working again, it’s straight back into the Viper for me!

Only the CF-188, as far as I know. That means I don’t think we’ll see it on our DCS Hornet.

Yeah. For whatever reason the Navy dosent like the good stuff.

Probably because they are more carrier defense then ground and pound.

Actually probably because they have to pay for the aircraft carriers as well!!

Wouldn’t be surprised if the Sniper simply can’t handle the punishment of a carrier trap like ATFLIR can.

This . Also, why Navy bases are typically lacking, amenity-wise, compared to bases in the other services.

This is exactly why the exped Marine Hornets can carry the Litening Pod and not the Navy jets. More specifically, it was never certified and tested ( :moneybag:) for carrier launches and landings - thus never operationally carried aboard the ship.

Less about Carrier Take Off / Landing, and more about Salt Water erosion and degradation of components

Yeah corrosion-proofing for USN equipment is a must. And it’s neither cheap nor a cure-all, but it’s better than not trying at all.
