I…KNEW it!
“At press time, the prime minister acknowledged that Australia had also made up Steve Irwin.”
OMG. My wife and I are ■■■■■■■ ourselves laughing…Me literally
Please note, nothing in there contraindicates drop bears…
‘Look up, look out’ is the motto in the the Australian bush.
Man I was slow on the uptake this morning. I actually had to look up what should have been an obvious Picard reference.
Wheels
I still don’t get it right now.
What’s jean luc Picards favourite type of model train?
I typed that into Google and the AI assistant provided the following answer:
Jean-Luc Picard’s favorite model train is a Constellation-class starship. He kept a model of it in his ready room aboard the USS Enterprise-D. He also had a model of a refit Constitution-class starship, according to Memory Alpha
I think it’s safe to say that AI has yet to develop a sense of humour
Clue:
“Make it……”
Thx, I get it now.
I had actually thought about that earlier, but the pronunciation of the two words is so far off that I didn’t consider it as the answer.
Now I am curious though: In which dialects would it work best?
Edit: Looked up a few different pronunciations. It IS reasonably close I guess.
In Australian English “so” and “sew” are pronounced the same way.
At least they are in Queensland, they’re probably pronounced differently in South Australia and who knows how Western Australians do things, I can literally fly internationally quicker than to Western Australia…
Not sure where else to post this? But the video is in line with the topic…
OMFG That’s brilliant.
