Hopped on a public server just now and spotted a beta tester flying the AH-94. He said heās a current Apache pilot. Said the release will happen today at 1600 Eastern/2100 UTC.

I just downloaded a big update. (But I havenāt played in nearly a year). No whirlybird. Steam DLC says 4 more hours. Or 1600 as he said.
Big fun flying that thing. Flight dynamics are decentāwithin the realm of plausibility anyway. And youāre right @Chaz, multiplayer works pretty well. Clever how the lobby is laid out when the mission begins. The two teams face each other in opposite stadium seats and taunt one another with gestures and insults. Lots of kids which was nice.

Iām still in Dallas at sim training. Iāll be home Monday and would love to try this out with some of youā¦
The pilot/gunner integration is fantastic! And again, the logic of the controls and weapons systems is really how it should be, and maybe is, in current generation stuff. The helicopter is a little bit more complicated so it actually took me an hour to figure out how to use countermeasures (hint: trigger on the collective serves as a shift to add functions to a few buttons.)
Missed you by an hour or so on Discord. Iāll be on and off throughout the day. And likely some this weekend.
Did I have the time wrong? If so, very sorry. Iāve been hopping between VTOL and Rotorheads (DCS). Very trippy switching between fantasy and fairly real.
Nah all good. I logged on around 1715Z but didnāt see you on Discord. But I ended up helping a friend go down the VTOL VR rabbit hole. still amazed how well the AH-94 functions with 2 human pilots.
Wow the choppa is insanely good although I have a hard time using the trim function for cyclic and yaw.
I was to lazy to connect physical pedals, so how do you guys fly it?

Real pedals for me. And therefore I donāt bother with yaw trim. I am an online stutterer sometimes. Fortunately thatās the only time it happens. So youāre in good company. Iāll post a Discord time the next time I am on.
I am going to try to be around tomorrow afternoon. If so, Iāll be on discord but maybe not on audio depending on whether I am in multiplayer or not.
Heads up. updating to beta 1.3.3.p2 may result in microphone issues for online play. Last night, I spent nearly an hour trying to figure why my buddy could not hear me. Rolled back to the previous stable version and all is good. Discord chatter on VTOL VRās server resulted in similar experiences.
