Well Done! A "pat on your back" thread!

It had a virus. I am only aware of emails, dcs srs and simpletalk3 being downloaded.

You forgot your trailer

So I finnally have a story to tell.
I went running today. Out of nowhere in the desert a dog came out to the side of my road. It startled me but I said Good Boy and he seemed good natured. I looked back to ensure he was not going to eat my leg but… he was ok. Then I noticed him running beside me… oh ok… Good Boy! And snapped my fingers and he came closer. I notice a collar and try to approach but he is not having any of that… ok…he is medium size good looking tan and thin. A little too thin.
At my turn around he follows me…Now I’m real motivated and keep calling him. Now I’m thinking What can I do with him? The company has a no pet policy. He is not huge but I cant hide him… I’ll have to feed him when I get home. Oh dang it…
I am running next to a main road against traffick when suddenly a jeep Cherokee w two ladies slows and they are staring…I say is this your dog? They stop. I go back to talk to them and the passenger says “Sophie!!!” My he is a she!!! She gets out the car and the dog throws herself at the woman she’s so happy. The woman is crying. The tail wags vigorously. Now here comes the driver and she’s crying even more. The dog is again so happy. Its their long lost neighbours dog!!! They can’t get the dog in the car so I pick up Sophie and put her in the back seat. Through the tears they thank me and drive off. I fight to contain my emotions.
All I did was take Sophie for a run but thanks to this she’s home tonight. I feel good. This crazy world!

Got my paperwork completed for my last semester of graduate work; I finish in May with a degree in clinical mental health counseling, I’ll be licensed in TX this summer.

In the middle of my internship, next week is booked with clients. Really happy to be finishing this up.

Fixed the install on my wife’s fireplace. Brownie points for me! They left the electrical un-done, “we’re not licensed to do that…”, even though they said they would install everything. Not a big deal but, again, points for me.

And…removed and installed a new CPU cooler. Cleaned it out good too. Some serious dust bunnies hiding the cracks (I do try to blow it out regularly). Pat on the back only because I haven’t
opened the case on a PC in 20+ years. I think it’s actually easier than back then.

Found a dead fan and swapped out it with the fan from the old cpu cooler while I was there. Interesting find; the original assembler did NOT screw all four heat block screws in on the cpu cooler (water cooler). When I peeled the old one off only about 1/3 of the block was contacting the CPU, based on the looks of it and the old paste marks. Another reason to DIY perhaps.

As recounted in the photo thread, we built a nice bit of landscaping for a backyard that has a bit of a elevation in it. Today we finsished it. I’ll be there one more day cleaning up, but this is what it ended up like:
