I got 2 days bedrest from the doctor on Monday. I had a ton of stuff that needed my attention in the office. Its end of the month and yada yada yada. Put on my big boy pants and went to work. Now its close to the weekend and I am feeling healthy and relived that all the work got done. The old me would have been like “See ya when I see ya”. Guess I grew up.

Home is home no more…
Rooms are empty halls now.
The reverb of each noise is so different from the familiar sounds of a home.
I am not sad, I’m not entirely relieved yet.
Tomorrow we will clean up and paint erasing the last traces of our lives here.

I have been where you are now.
I left my country to get a job and prosper in another.
But that’s easier when you are young and single. Caring for a family makes such decisions harder.
That said, it was the best decision of my life.
