Nice. I have the previous edition. It’s a really nice book. Very well structured.

Re-reading ‘A Canticle for Leibowitz

Just my opinion, but one of those sci-fi books that every fan of the genre needs to read at least once.

Blow Back by James Patterson - Brendon DuBois si-fi fun, easy to read.

After reading @chipwich Dan’s recommendation for Palace Cobra by Ed Rasimus, I figured I would start with is first book ‘When Thunder Rolled’ . Highly recommend! I just finished it today.

Palace Cobra is next!

He was on my flight to Nice yesterday! I talked to him but didn’t know who I was talking to until a flight attendant later told me.

Anyone have a copy of Palace Cobra with viewable photos? My copy seems rather poorly printed, as in like this: image|375x500

I have a kindle copy and I don’t believe it has any photos at all. Hmm

I gave away my copy years ago, but it looked like that. Paperback. Not sure if there was a better version?

I just strated with it, good read.

I’ll check mine tonight, but I fear it isn’t better.

Early chapters with this one, but liking the author and narrator so far.

Mine are indeed a tad better, but not much:

I just finished up Spearhead by Adam Makos. It’s about the the 3rd Armored Division in WW2, going through France, Belgium and into Germany.

It’s quite an interesting read.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to do that.

No problem, it just took a minute.

Sadly my scanner isn’t operational right now, the quality would be another tad better I guess. But the phone did a decent job.

Currently trying to read William Gibsons ‘The Peripheral’ but its not letting me in.

I am a huge fan of Neuromancer and it’s sequels as well as the later bridge trilogy. “The sky was the color of a TV tuned to a dead channel.”

But this… there’s so much stuff and names and non-explanation. I feel like I’m on the sidelines of a conversation between kids or technicians speaking a language I only partially understand. At least not the important bit. I just have no idea what’s going on!

Have I become too dumb, my mind too old and ossified to enjoy this sort of “plop you into the pool” sort of scifi?

Which reminds me I want to read it too…
Do you have it in English or Dutch?
