The 2nd season of Russian Doll dropped today.
I know I’m super late- but I watched Tenet last night.
I was quite literally blown away.
I barely knew anything about it- except that there was some weird time-backwards gimmick.
I need to watch it again. With a scratchpad.
And some hard liquor.
Ha! Touche, Nadia Volvukov!
Crazy final race at Abu Dhabi! Checo did an excellent job sparring with Hamilton on the last few laps. Verstappen grabbed a new set of tyres for the last lap, some questionable lapping choices from the race officials and the rest is history!
With the amount of Drive to Survive I’ve been watching, I’m kinda looking forward to Codemasters F1 2022 getting released on July 1st … with VR support for the PC version no less!
I’ve started watching the Queen of the South series, now on Netflix. I’ve watched around 5 episodes so far. So far it’s good and I’m anxious to continue watching.
Excellente!
Oh good. I thought i was the only one who liked Pacific Rim
I have a huge soft spot for the “Giant Robots fighting Giant Monsters” genre in general, and I loved the aesthetic and worldbuilding that Guillermo del Toro put into the movie, comics, etc. Shame there was never a second movie though.
Yep. Agreed. The first one was a lot of fun and the 2nd didnt exist
yep first one… who cant like giant robots and monsters … and yes second one rubbish
I watched the first two episodes of Outer Range today.
Interesting. Mysterious. I have no clue what the hell is happening, but Wyoming looks beautiful and @chipwich is in it!
IMDbTv has rebranded itself as freevee.
I just found another old favorite a few days ago on the channel.
Adam 12
Wheels
@saghen, have you seen White Boy Rick yet? Just watched the first half. Since my own timeline coincides with the main character, I could see myself going down the exact same path if I were in his shoes.
No, I haven’t. It’s rated mediocre. What do you think of it, good?
I heard too much about WBR when I was a kid, on tv.
I hear ya bro. I’ll prolly watch the rest tomorrow. Mediocre films turn into a nostalgia fest when they generally match your timeline.
Edit - Didn’t realize I was so far behind in this thread, was in zombie mode.
I hope that I’m not the only one watching Slow Horses, which would what - signify some sort of aging out? Anyway, Gary Oldman doing what he does best, portrays a not so sublime character, with much more depth than his appearance and behavior present. I saw a recent interview where he stated that while he would exactly want to have dinner with Jackson Lamb, the aging cold war MI5 spy seeking quiet retirement that he plays, he would most definitely want him in his corner. He is joined by an excellent supporting cast.
Critics say that the show remains close to the series of novels on which it is based and IMO, only falls short in that the conspirators are a rogue MI5 director, her subordinate, and their political ally. Not that the plot is implausible, only that I imagine this hackneyed storyline must grow tiresome to UK viewers as much as it does for us in the US. I suppose spooks and their clandestine work will always be an easy target.
For what it’s worth, I’m holding off reading the books until the series concludes to avoid spoilers. Very much enjoying it through season 1.
