What we watching? – Mudspike at the movies

I’ve slowly come around to considering NV the best Fallout, so that’s a definite win for the show.

Because New Vegas (the game) is set before the the show, I want to see if the ‘Courier’ is referenced in Season 2… assuming it gets made?

We have one episode left. Its amazing. Absolutely love the show

Just Finished. My head just about popped at the end. Jumped off the sofa and scared both dogs.

Amazing. Absolutely amazingly amazing

Has anyone watched “The Tourist” on Netflix?

Its a BBC Australlia production filmed both down south & Ireland about a guy who loses his memory and is trying to figure out who he is…while people are trying to kill him.

Very well written, suspenseful, action packed, and some great comedy written in to soften it just a bit.

I just finished season 2. I hope there’s a season 3 coming.

Hadn’t even heard of it until now. I will give it a go, thanks for the tip.

Rewatching Band of Brothers for the n-th time while sewing patches on an airborne kit for airsoft, though I hardly play any more. Can’t believe that show was made 23 years ago yet it still holds up.

Feel that way about so many things. I’ll watch something or see something and know it has been awhile since it was new but not the 30 or 40 years it has been.

Dad gum komemiute! I was going to start either Fallout or Shogun tonight, but you just derailed the crap out of those plans.

Well…it appears that you have to have your big boy pants on to watch it at a $24.99 rental.

:innocent: the path to salvation leads to the Chinook.

:imp: Fear is the mind killer, buy it! Buy it!

The bride has been watching Shogun. Her verdict - ‘not as good as the original mini-series and it skips over some events, but still worthwhile’. I will probably get around to it eventually.

At least with Dune 2 you know you will be done in just over two hours. Fallout is like Pringles, once you pop… :stuck_out_tongue:

Shogun is a masterpiece to me with all the costume/set/action authenticity. Hiroyuki Sanada went all out making sure to get it as period-accurate as possible. I saw the '80s version as a kid and it was too campy for my tastes, though I did like how the old one showed Blackthorne picking up the language. In the new series he just kinda magically picks up words between episodes.

That is pretty much her biggest beef with this version & she finds the combat a bit too ‘realistic’. Plus she is a huge fan of Toshiro Mifune. I think she also had a bit of a teenage crush on Richard Chamberlain.

Episode 1 is in Norway. Honestly, not terribly funny but certainly watchable. I only mention it here because I wanted to see if our resident @Troll recognized his adopted country.
