Glad you liked it and I felt the exact same!
Watching “The Darkest Hour”. Brilliant.
Excellent, thanks for the recommendation @chipwich re: Spitfire! I’ll need something to do Christmas morning as I wait for the teenagers to wake up!
Oh that for sure! A documentary it’s not but what a great performance from Oldman!
I just started The Final Countdown. Been quite a while since I last saw it. Love seeing those F-14s. I guess it’s leaving Prime Video on 12/30. If you want to watch it, better do so quickly.
Just saw Joaquin Pheonix’s Joker.
Whew… Tough but amazingly written and acted.
Looking forward to seeing this myself soon.
Just got back from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Meh. T’was OK. Some nice nostalgic moments, but it really wasn’t satisfying… No spoilers for those that haven’t seen it.
I’m just glad it’s done and over. Although I somehow think it’s not the last we’ll hear of “Skywalker”!
Every Christmas or every other Christmas I watch this movie for pure nostalgia’s sake. I seem to remember it being on TV over the holiday when I was a kid. Growing up in the damp wet grey UK it captured my imagination… behind enemy lines, blowing stuff up in snow, surrounded by mountains and towering castles!.. to this day it is genuinely a great war movie.
Absolutely agree!
Just finished the second (and current) season of this show. I have really liked how they have done this remake of the old series. If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it.
One more…I watched this a couple weeks back and loved it. Was a great movie about the financial issue of the “Panama Papers.” Great story telling with respect to a complicated issue.
Been binge watching The Witcher on NF yesterday and today. Considering I’ve never played the game or read the books I’m a little confused by things, but it’s a strong enough show that I can’t stop watching it. Good acting, good special effects and a good soundtrack IMHO…
I took a look last night. From playing the game a bit, I seem to recall that the Witcher was not so Nobel individual. Still, an interesting show with lots of intrigue and action.
EDIT: ahh…the Witcher, not the Golden Globes…never understood the Golden Globes…but I understood the Witcher…which probably says something interesting about me…what that is I’m not sure.
Once upon a time in the West
Good movie - -
Summary
but Fonda as the villain doesn’t carry the same shock and surprise it generated when the movie came out in 1968. Without that extra twist his character does not carry the same evil undertones that it did when the movie came out.
