Where Are You Photos [2022]

You have way better handwriting than I do! I do mine in excel, print it and staple it backwards behind the rest of the company paperwork to make it easy to flip and check how I’m doing on my fuel ladder.

Wifey knocked it out the atmosphere with her choices for our living room rug and door mat :heart_eyes:

That was a nice surprise to stumble downstairs too half asleep this morning

I didn’t even notice the shapes on the rug on first glance. Pretty cool!

I have such a crappy job. Man do I hate being outside, hearing birds sing, getting sun on my face, building things with my hands…

Matching shirt and ear protectors though… Tres chic! :ok_hand:

They are the best. Found 'em in a bin of old disused stuff in the barn. They have an FM radio built in! Playing with a circular saw while listening to a German orchestra doing Haydn! F yea!

Looks like you are soaking up lots of vitamin D to keep that C19 at bay.

I am not prepared mentally or physically for weather this cold anymore. This is supposed to be sunny and WARM Southern California.

My NEW thermostat for my NEW AC unit said it was 37 degrees outside when I got up about an hour ago.

:stuck_out_tongue: You’d have a stronger case if you didn’t show your 7 day forecast as well.

Nice little push this morning…

It’s all fun and games until you have to turn around and fly the return leg… …unless of course that is on the return leg.

How are you finding the PC24 Chris? It looks like a great airplane.

It is really a joy to fly. I’m coming to grips with the Honeywell architecture…which is 70% of the battle with that airplane. It is a joy to fly…handles great…and stops on a dime. Climbs like a rocket. We went straight to FL400 yesterday at max gross out of Delaware in about 18 minutes and we were using a shallower climb profile than normal for the massive headwinds. I we had held the recommended 200 knots to .58 instead of what we flew (250 to .62) we probably would have made it there in 14 or 15 minutes.

We continue to get bugs worked out…confidence in the airplane is growing. In our job, when you have a heart team bringing back a cooler, it is a tense moment when we fire up prior to them arriving - will everything boot up correct? Will we have a no-go CAS message? These things rarely ever happened with the Citation, so there is a pretty high bar for Pilatus to meet. So far (knock on wood), I haven’t had anything that has prevented a mission completion. I am hopeful that the PC24 continues to sell like hot-cakes…the more they make, the deeper their product support will become. Given the success of the PC12, it is looking pretty good so far.

I’ve been quite vocal on here with my adventures chasing the Antonov AN-225 all over the place.

A few months ago me and my son had a lucky break where we finally caught it and watched it fly, caught some pictures of it and shared a beautiful little moment together seeing it. Few tears were shed by me as it was a long road to get there

That road finally ended today. On a personal level i am totally devastated by the news that she was burned to the ground in her hanger.

Nothing would ever compare to the ongoing nightmare for those poor souls fighting for their land and families. Certainly not a hunk of metal. But that particular plane was a source of immense pride for the Ukraine and a symbol of their freedom and technological evolution. It is just another added list item to the horror inflicted on them.

Its hit me fairly hard if im honest.

I was hoping that one day I would get to see it…I guess that isn’t going to happen now. When a national icon like this is destroyed, maybe, rather than reducing the Ukrainian people’s resolve, it will just add to their defiant spirit…I have to say that up to this point they have been magnificent.

Absolutely magnificent. Heroes all.

Been waiting since October for an engineer tpo come and work on my boat. Going to have it towed to the engineers at the next marina but it will be a while as work is being done to replace all the lock gates at Newark. My boat is one side, the engineering base is the other.

Still, it was great fun getting inside it and seeing how it all works
