Where Are You Photos [2022]

Easton walled gardens. 12 acres dating back to the 14th century. Kids can roam. Dogs not allowed sadly. The grand house did not survive WW2. Good cake.

Tree on the far side of the street in the center of the picture is blocking my view.

Going to call the city, it has got to go !!! :innocent:

I find trees in positions like that have a habit of leaning in to your chainsaw when you are just giving it a test run post sharpening.

Alternatively, I find they grow in such a way as to encroach on the public highway.

Cut it off low enough and they’ll never know.

Who else would be nervous living under that many boulders in the mud slide and Earthquake central of California?

I live a few meters below the level where the sea gets on a good stormy day so I don’t think I have the right to comment on this living situation.

I wonder what the insurance costs for those houses are, or what they will be as the climate continues to change.

Was wondering that myself when I took the picture. I would think there is some extra premium being charged to address it? Maybe as part of your earthquake insurance? Earthquake insurance is a separate policy to your standard house insurance so adding it to that policy would make sense to me. At the moment it is all speculation though…

I was at the Pima Air and Space museum in Tucson, Arizona. I’m here for Challenger 604 training and today is a day off… so after spending a whole week in a classroom studying aircraft, what’s the logical thing to do?

This place is pretty amazing. They have some very interesting types on display. I don’t think I have ever seen three Constellations in one place. The Museum site is on 80 acres and while they have certainly packed it with aircraft, they also had room to let you see them without crowding them in with other airframes. Another bonus is that for the vast majority of the aircraft, there are no fences or barricades…you can get as close as you want.

Time for some more photos…

There’s no amount of money you could pay me to strap my behind into this one…but it does look very cool!

One for @Scoop

The hangar had two aircraft that I have flown in…the Hawk T1

And the Westland Lynx. My first ever flight was in a Royal Marines Lynx when I was an Air Cadet back in the mid 80’s.

A Canadian F86 looking good and a McDonnell Phantom I sat in the corner… plus some other jet that @Victork2 wouldn’t be at all interested in…

A fine example of a CAE hat…

Oh…ok, here she is Ace. :upside_down_face: :sunglasses:

Awesome pics!

Is that a Starship?
Edit: I zoomed in and it is written on the fuselage, so yes.
