Lol, you know flight sim graphics have improved immensely when you think an actual photo is a screenshot from one of them. If you had not posted that second image of yourself standing next to the plane I would have asked which flight simulation you were flying when you took the screenshot.

Channeled my inner schurem this week.
Needed to spruce up the entrance to our place.
So off I went.
Got the posts set earlier in the week.
My helpers
Then set about putting up the pickets. It took me a couple of days, since I was working solo. Finished today.
I’ll paint everything in a few weeks, once the wood dries out.

I had a bit of a special opportunity to go see the WRC cars and meet the Toyota drivers ahead of the weekend’s race today.
Jari-Matti Latvala, the team principal, showed us around the team area. We got to see all the spare parts etc. but couldn’t take photos of those - secret squirrel! The inside of the cockpits of the race cars was off limits for cameras too.
John Kennard, the kiwi co-driver to Hayden Paddon, came to say hi and tell some war stories from the Hyundai camp.
The Finnish ambassador flew over from Canberra for the occasion - Kalle Rovanperä is currently leading the standings.

Our place is 11 acres. Pretty much all wooded aside from where our house sits. So probably 1 acre cleared with the driveway.
It was a challenge, but a fun one. Thanks!

I know I’m twice your age That must have been a treat. Latvala is my favorite driver from his era. Well, I’m a Loeb fan too, but for the rest of humankind, Latvala was pretty special.

What I remember most about Latvala was that he was always overdriving and binning cars. His team principals, especially the Ford one were always mad at him. lol I guess that should make him a more understanding team principal.

Exactly, win it or bin it. Such a contrast to Hirvonen. Those Prodrive Ford Focus cars were beautiful, especially with fenders hanging off
