Gibson likes helos
I think Gibson wants a squirrel.
He looks like a lovely relaxed dog. I bet he makes for a great planespotting partner.
We have engineering works over this weekend … so there have been large posters outfit the past two weeks telling people there are no trains and it’s a bus service… and I still have them looking intently at the board and asking when is the next train …
It normally goes
Them “when’s the next train ? “
Me … Monday morning …
Them
Of our 3 Labs, he is very relaxed and is allowed at work. And on Wednesday, was hanging with me at lunch, while I caught a C-5M and C-17 beating up our pattern.
I am so jealous
I really need to tick one of these off my list
We should have that
I didn’t even know the C-5 still flew. Only ever seen C-17s
I knew C-5 are bigger but I just looked up a picture:
They occasionally go into fairford. I can hear them but only ever seen one in the distance
Hearing them is the difference. It was odd for me not to hear the whine of the old engines. These new ones are very quiet.
The Super Galaxy
And a C-17 decided to visit as well
Ended the day with a pair of Panamanian Navy AW139s on their way north.
Spent the day at Planes of Fame for their monthly flying event.

Wheels
WOW, what an incredible difference in size.
Just been to a talk by Gp Capt Chris Finn on the development of airpower 1914/1916. He will do the second part 1917/1918 next year.
However, i met Albert Ball VCs great niece. I had met her once before at the iBCC. She has Albert Balls violin which we heard played by a member of the RAF Band from Cranwell.
Next month is the clubs open evening when members bring in WW1 memorabilia. She has promised to show a propellor from an aircraft Ball crashed. I will get a photo.
If anyone wants to go to see many unique bits of history (and tanks from WW1 @Victork2 ) food and accomodation is available at mine.
Oh man, I had a questionable load today … coulda used five axles on the trailer instead of four as I’m pretty sure I was overweight (120,000 lbs +) based on the PSI I was putting on my Air Ride. I could only do 20 mph in 10th gear going up one of my least favorite hills. Luckily I didn’t have to go too far and I knew there were no truck inspection stations along the way.
Hey, I’m definitely no angel but I thought my strapping was impeccable!
Thats a tidy old load there driver! BZ
