How right you are
Bit of a story for you here … yesterday I noticed a smallish hole had appeared in the extension on platform 1 at my station … so did the usual stuff and taped off the area and faulted it with maintenance …
this morning I come in to find the following
But it’s a bit more worrisome when you look under the platform you see this
So at the moment the whole extension on platform 1 is now unusable…
Fun and games to follow
I hope someone there has a cunning plan
Time to increase fares to pay for the repair!
Oh dear. That don’t look right at all. You might be getting a new station mate!
Last nights dress rehersal for the coronation. Official photos. Very impressive to watch , and no crowds.
Went to a “Classic Car & Bike Show” this evening. Not much in the way of bikes, apart from what people came on! Here’s some of the 4 wheelers…
…oh and I only took photo’s of the Skylines cos I knew a certain Mudspike member would be having kittens…
what station was that … bloody hell
is that a Hillman Imp …
A wild guess, Aldershot
Oh yes! And see that Triumph Herald? My Dad had one of those for 6 years. 6 years with 3 kids stuffed in the back of that tiny thing! 3 of those in the heat of Cyprus.
btw - the guy who came to meet us at Akrotiri had a Hillman Imp - I’ll never forget it because when we were following him to our hotel the rear window popped out and smashed on the road. I can also remember one night having to bale out of the Herald rather sharpish as the engine temperature was going through the roof.
Ah, them were the days, lad!
*PS - I saw one for sale in a garage nearby a couple of years back - a mauve one, just like my Dad’s - I was so sorely tempted to buy it but sensibly decided against it. Was only about £4k iirc and looked very tidy - but then, didn’t they always look tidy…
found my photo’s:
I can even remember our reg - FM367 in Cyprus and SAM660N in the UK.
My dad had a hillman imp , my vague memory of it was the colour, that could only be described as dog s*** brown with a black vinal roof
They were horrible cars … rear engined and always overheating
Talking of old cars from memory lane… this came up in a conversation at work
The Talbot Rancho
I love that silver R33Gtr
And that escort
And the mini.
My god i love cars.
By the way. I have started construction of my all time chavviest project ever. It makes me giggle. It was cheap and its gonna be worth nothing when I’m done.
Its being sprayed a deep blue colour as we speak. Updates to follow, don’t get your hopes up.
2 door, turbo charged, 5 spoke spoke wheels. Recaro half leather seats and matching gear knob…
Teeee heee. It also explains my semi absence from mudspike, its a giggle project and i needed a giggle
Subaru?
Worse. Far far worse. But you are kind of on the right track with the rally car. Except still miles off and you’re never going to guess it
